  1. Three songs in and the overspill area at the top which used to be camping was very spacious. Unfortunately the sound was horrendous back there so we gave up at that point and went off to QOTSA. Got out easily but there were still people streaming in so presumably they ended up filling the paths and space at the back.
  2. That's why I decided to go get it looked at so that it didn't detract from the evening. The doctor that treated me said that they'd been inundated with people with eye issues all weekend.
  3. The heat didn't bother me too much, found it manageable. I did end up in the medical tent yesterday evening however after getting something lodged in my eye following a gust of wind so I'm all in favour of a few showers to keep the dust down.
  4. Yeah, the part of the Pyramid field that you enter from the Acoustic route was pretty spacious last year during Macca. Definitely the way to go.
  5. This is where I'm at too. Certainly gives us something else to speculate on though!
  6. They're on The Park right?
  7. f**k. I'm gonna be a bawling mess with that setlist. Perfect.
  8. Definitely. The Thursday and Saturday mud is pretty easy to navigate provided it's not too deep. The sticky stuff is intolerable.
  9. Elton John 67.90 % Arctic Monkeys 64.33 % The Churnups 51.27 % Blondie 50.61 % Lizzo 45.95 % TBA 37.37 % Fred Again.. 36.22 % Fatboy Slim 35.46 % The Chemical Brothers (DJ Set) 34.25 % The Hives 33.27 % Rick Astley 33.17 % Top 11 seeing as one is the TBA. Anyone can get the above by donating to Clashfinder which, considering how often we all use it, wouldn't be a bad move at all.
  10. Rick Astley is the 11th most highlighted act of the whole festival at the moment. A third of people have him highlighted. The Last Dinner Party not in the Top 100.
  11. Only had to use cash once last year when the card reader went down on one of the market stalls not far from west holts. Otherwise I used Apple Pay on my phone but with a stash of cash in the lockups just in case.

    Campsite Poll

I was by the Pyramid my first couple of years (Bottom Webb's Ash?), then we moved across to Bushy Ground and Rivermead. The last few years I've been in family camping in Wicket but no young 'uns coming with us this year so I'm looking elsewhere. As nice as Bushy is, I don't really like the walk through Silver Hayes every day. Thinking of heading to Lime Kiln/Hitchin Hill this year. The walk doesn't bother me too much as I won't be visiting the SE corner and tend to stay out all day anyway so I won't be taking too many trips back and forwards. I can see me spending a lot of time in Woodsies this year also so probably makes sense. Plus, the long drops by Woodsies are top tier.
  13. I thought it would be a bigger name but I'm stoked for Self Esteem.
  14. Stumbled across Doreen Doreen after Macca last year and had the best time. That stage seemed perfect for them. Will still try to catch them this year wherever they show up.
  15. Seem to remember Shakin' Stevens opening the pyramid in one of the first years I went. They've always sprinkled in acts of that nature.
  16. Relatively clash free. Chvrches vs Churnups is the big one. Tail end of CRJ vs start of Pale Waves is an annoyance. Otherwise, it all flows pretty nice. Helps that there's a healthy crossover with Green Man so I can catch a fair few there.
  17. Arctics and Elton are locks. Saturday is up in the air but Loyle Carner is edging ahead at the moment.
  18. Lack of The Pretenders is frustrating.
  19. The status of mine has updated in the past few hours as being sent to the courier. First thing this morning it just said they would be sent by secure delivery. No email yet!

    Block 9 lineup

Earlier than any other announcements right? Possible that the full drop still comes later today?
  21. Yeah, they played the exact same set as they had been playing at every other fest in 2013. The only difference I think was that they did a version of Mardy Bum with strings at Glastonbury whereas it was straight up acoustic elsewhere. I would be a little surprised if they didn't bring back a couple of crowd pleasers though. From what I can see they're not even playing When The Sun Goes Down at the moment.

    Glastocam!

The stages and the installations are all well and good but this is the stuff that gives me that fuzzy feeling inside.
  23. This'll be number 12 for me and I don't even know where the Palais is. Can't see it on the map although I'm sure it's there? I saw a couple of things in the Cinedrome at Green Man last year and it was a great way to spend some time so might make my way to the Palais this year...if I can find it.
  24. Kanda Bongo Man on West Holts looks like it'll be a great time.
  25. So what's the standard message everybody is getting at the moment? I'm getting this:
