I'm a sucker for Norwich Waterfront. Then it's probably Brixton Academy & The Brudenell. Maybe throw in Leadmill after that, or the Ritz in Manchester.

Have we had a "best venue in the country" thread? Could be interesting. Will definitely start some arguments but even they may be fun to watch from afar. Might make some fake accounts to tell everyone why The O2 Arena is the best and make sure it wins any poll - that'll really get people going.

Yup, me and some mates are looking at adding the Barcelona date to Primavera. Only issue is Glastonbury a couple of weeks late and using quite so much annual leave in June.

Gutted about the timing of these RHCP dates 😒. Would have been all over either Manchester or London.

Pretty sure he subbed WH last time he played, albeit on the album previous to his last if I remember correctly. I recall an interview where he mentions how he left a gap in his schedule for Glastonbury on the North Borders (is that right?) tour but was never asked to play. I had him as a shoe-in to headline WH that year, but not sure where to place him now. Very similar to Caribou in that regard; headline or sub WH/Park, JP at a push.

The full experience is most definitely not spending every night at the Pyramid. Yes, there is nothing quite like seeing a massive act that you love on that stage. But the best times are often elsewhere.

Give me Bicep on WH on the Friday and next year is shaping up nicely! With Macca closing it out, I'll see my first Sunday night Pyramid headliner in my tenth year - happy with that.

What's more likely is that I simply don't realise how big he is these days. As soon as we saw the ticket prices it put myself, my brother and my Dad off going. It would probably be the most expensive gig I'd bought a ticket for in Leeds not at the arena for example (and I don't think Frank is an arena act). It probably doesn't help that I only really like pre-2012 Frank plus one or two tracks off each album after so I guess it comes down to being too much for me.

I love Frank, but £37.50+fees is steep in my opinion.

The new Alt J single sounded really good when I heard it on 6music last week; quite excited to hear the rest. Definitely won't be headlining the Other any time soon but a John Peel set could be great.

Ah good point. Honestly I just kind of saw their name and assumed Finsbury Park would be announced without considering the other dates.

I assume KOL will just be doing Finsbury Park, right? Wouldn't mind seeing then again tbf, but also probably don't wanna pay £50 to see them on tour.

As I say, I plan on catching them at Primavera. But they didn't get glowing reviews from my friends at APE so I'm not too concerned. Roundhouse I can imagine having been good tbf but, either way, I'll try to keep an open mind.

And thus killed any interest I ever had in seeing them again. Man that Reading set was bad. Clash dependent, I'll check them out at Primavera but I hope they don't take a good place up at Glastonbury. Sorry y'all.

Up for Manchester I think, depending on price. The National a few years back was just over £40 so I'm gonna assume the same... I was chatting to mate about this possibility over the weekend. This is the news I've needed!
