  1. No one seems to believe it but I would say most groups I've encountered are barely putting tickets back in the pot. Seems to be seconded by what I've seen on here, twitter, discord etc. Its an event that is getting harder to attend every year so its not surprising that so few are spooked by the line up, even if its let them down.
  2. So funny as to remind myself of how long it took I looked backed through our Glasto whatsapp and we also have a tent photo timestamped at basically that exact time as well 😂
  3. We got the 5:45am coach from Brum last year (left late as the driver went to the wrong spot to pick us up) on the Wednesday and we were all set up by just after 11 in Oxlyers. It was a really pleasant journey tbh.
  4. Confusion around this may be to do with the fact that they tend to prioritise entry for coach ticket holders at Gate A over general admission, I think?
  5. To be frank the crowds stretch out from the stone circle right across to the higher points near the Park and its not that difficult to find somewhere in my view. I'd say go up to the Park a few hours before sundown and then as it gets a bit busier head to the stone circle for the atmosphere and festivities there.
  6. I think the line up being received relatively poorly after such a long period of silence has probably impacted the momentum around the build up. That said, I guarantee we'll still see fever pitch excitement as the event approaches.
  7. From memory it takes around 20-30 minutes. But the time flies to be honest. I think most of the waiting around tends to happen on Wednesday so you'll be fine Thursday with minimal waiting I think. If you're on a busy train and want to get on the shuttle pronto then my advice would be to sacrifice a seat and park yourself near the train doors. The one time I did that it honestly probably meant the difference between getting on a bus quickly vs a much longer wait in a queue.
  8. For a festival of this size you'd probably want a survey sample of around 500 people to ensure a high level of accuracy. I suspect the margin of error is kept to within 5%
  9. I would be very surprised if the entire area is lost to queuing...
  10. I think people underestimate what a resurgence in popularity that Britpop era bands have had in recent years, especially with gen z. Lots of younger people were at the Blur shows last year and plenty of young people seem to be hopping on Britpop trends on tiktok.
  11. Very different points in their careers though. I think something like the Miley slot would've made more sense as she will be a huge pull.
  12. They have some bops. It will be fun!
  13. Tbh I doubt too much thought has gone into that so I wouldn't read into it!
  14. SZA definitely and Dua Lipa possibly. I'd say SZA is probably the only popular headliner within my group which seems out of step with a lot of what I'm reading!
  15. Happy to endorse all those suggestions. Alvvays are my favourite band and their third record really was quite something.
  16. That has unlocked a music memory hidden so deeply in my brain
  17. I'm still thinking Thursday/Friday tbh

    SZA

I think Beyonce maybe didn't hit quite right because arguably she's released most of her best work since she headlined? I feel like you could create a much more cohesive setlist now than back when it felt necessary to throw in Destiny's Child medleys.
  19. Ha, I think in the run up to a big announcement would mean lots of longer working days for team involved whether its dropped today or not!

    SZA

Just to get things back on track...do we expect a similar set up to SZA's recent touring? Would that be possible on the Pyramid? And is she one to bring out guests? I've convinced myself its happening so I'm getting myself hyped

    SZA

SZA has already sold out big gigs in the UK like headlining Wireless and tours here. Raye is definitely on the right trajectory but will probably needs another big selling album before it really makes sense for her. The only issue for SZA is Glastonbury might be seen as the wrong audience but you'll be surprised just how popular she'll be on the night.
  22. I have no idea why you'd know this but I'm deciding to believe you
  23. Tbf I think she just said she liked the idea of dropping it all in one go but nothing was concrete.
  24. Will be my first Thursday arrival since 2008 (!) and I'm...weirdly looking forward to it? Knowing the gates won't be chaos and pretty much not having to worry about rushing to save space in our normal spot as it will already be rammed really takes the pressure off things a bit. So my guess is, depending on our coach time, we'll roll onto site Thursday morning/afternoon and stroll in to somewhere like Dairy Ground then straight to Brothers...
