I wonder why the rush to release the lineup before they have the city shows and day splits.

there's no big WOW name that they wanted to announce before everyone else

    ?

Lana Del Rey and SZA are topping the line-up and are not confirmed anywhere else.

For now Lana and Karol G seem to be certain. Kylie Minogue also. SZA could be in, although someone said that she's not on the lineup.

All of those are just internet guessing names with tags #female #pop #headliner #mayfitprimavera #spanish

And then those are repeated on every page with tags #confirmed #headliner #certain #amustforprimavera

And tbh, they can devote an entire day at Mordor to Reggaeton as long as there is good pop, post-punk, hardcore, indie, techno, bulgarian throat singing, artrock, emo or ambient everywhere else

Or they can devote all the days to good music instead. I don't know why I should hope for acts Primavera never needed.

Last year I had Spanish friends going to primavera for the first time ever just to see Rosalia and another friend for the first ever just to see Calvin Harris. The festival and its demographics changed, I feel like it’s getting more and more based of bigger names that attract different crowds.

2023 had sluggish sales and wasn't sold out in spite of a reduced capacity.

2022 was very, very classic Primavera and sold extremely well.

I don't see what you see.

This, I think the chances of her coming are almost 0, why would she even do Primavera? Money? She’s getting much more in her solo shows. Fame or status? She doesn’t need it, she literally rejected SuperBowl performance because she wanted to focus on her tour. And why Glastonbury or other big festivals are not booking her? I think it’s a useless topic, she’s too big for the festival both in therms of money and production. Having someone like Bad Bunny (still expensive) Travis Scott and Karol is much better.

There is no evidence that Bad Bunny, Travis Scott or Karol G are touring in Europe at all (let alone end of May or beginning of June). It's not becoming more likely if it's repeated here on every new page.

TayTay is touring and is in Spain on Thursday and on her way to Lyon.

I'm still a bit skeptical that something will be posted today or even this week, they just started posting right now reminders about Primavera Weekender and so on, don't know if they will want to shift the focus now

I guess you have more fingers per hand than people buying tickets for weekender today.

You can tell by certain acts that the person behind the poster is British.

And I don't know why he/she used the "old" imaginery from this year instead of the new one.

Nevertheless, fake poster time is wonderful.

It was fun while it lasted! Was at least hoping the rest of the tour (UK dates included) was gonna be today.

Graspop hasn't officially announced Tool, yet.

I haven't checked Tool socials but I guess homepage was too early. Tour is coming in minutes probably.

  9. I would love to see Tool to be announced on their own for Primavera tomorrow - just for the reactions on the internet 😁

Joking aside. If Tool is announced tomorrow because they are booked for Primavera and want to announce their whole tour like Depeche Mode last year AND the rest of the line-up isn't ready to announce just yet then I guess they'll announce a "classic" headliner alongside them to not confuse the audience too much. Pulp comes to my mind.

If they are booking The National, I don't see a problem of booking Dua Lipa either with her new album and show.

Gabi said many times that the requirement for booking an act again for primavera is a new release from said artist. The National have released two new albums and Dua Lipa will release a new one. Same situation with The Smile. They will gladly book everyone of that list if possible.

Maybe I read too much into this, since it's not even confirmed. But if they really decide to not book fan-favourites like KGLW and Slowdive for this year even though they are around, this might be a sign that they are confident with the line-up and maybe save those for 2025/2026.

As long as The National don't confirm more dates towards early June I would guess they are also not coming. Then there's IDLES with a Barcelona headline show - also unlikely. All of them played in 2022 so it makes sense, I guess.

There will be suprises but I think PULP and PJ Harvey are tbc at this point and next years headline classic Primavera acts. Which is wonderful.

  12. You guys are focusing too much on Calvin Harris.

They had to book for a wider demographic this year because they wanted to establish a new festival. Loved Primavera bands played to a huge crowd in Barcelona but played to a tiny/humiliating crowd in Madrid. Tickets for Madrid were sold because of the mainstream acts. They knew this beforehand. But after all, those acts brought not enough people in.

And if Calvin Harris et al were target #1 for their respective slot on the line-up is not known.

Maybe you should calm down and wait for the 2024 poster.

For Ed Sheeran it says festival exclusive while Avril Lavigne is Germany exclusive, so we can probably expect her on other festivals

Exclusive festival shows means exclusive festival shows for Germany. Therefore he will perform at least one headline show in Germany 2024 as well.

  14. I wouldn't rule out The National and Idles just because they were on the line-up last year.

They were originally booked for the 2020 edition of Barcelona, delayed because of Covid and haven't been on the poster of Porto since 2018 (Idles) and 2016 (The National) if I remember correctly.
