Sziget marketing it as a festival holiday, with the sights of budapest tells you everything.

Grudgingly that was top class by Liverpool today.

Fulham more then deserved there win, Utd were dreadful. Lots of improvement, although the rumour of ross barkley signing does not bode well.

I dont know any utd fan who saw him as a saviour, online or offline. Just a better alternative to sport washing or the glazers. Which not many could argue with really.

When you think where you've been for a decade, 7th is a great season. Think we've discussed before, it's going to be incredibly difficult for Newcastle to do a chelsea/city. Personally think you are just 10 years to late to have any major impact going for titles. Europa and the occasional top 4, when the likes of Liverpool are off it, is your level.

All depends if top 5 get champions league, as it stands they do and most likely will do. As city, arsenal and Liverpool will go deep into the competitions. Top 5 champions league 6th/7th europa 8th confrence That could change, like you said on the cup final.

As it stands it will be top 8 for Europe.

That's the way it should be. All the traditional top sides are not guaranteed top 4. Liverpool who are perhaps the most sensible, had last season out. Newcastle had a taste last season, villa may have a chance this season. Likes of utd and spurs will be in and out, due to how they're run.

As I understand it, they will pay so the gardening leave is a minimum.

But clubs are breaking into the top 6 clubs. Leicester, Newcastle and villa for example. There's only really city guaranteed top 4 status, which is proven in the last 5 seasons.

I don't really follow director of footballs, but its a position united have been crying out for. If Man Utd come calling, he will go there thats for sure.

I dont see how it relates to united to be honest. Wolves obviously were over spending for the size of club they are. The previous 5 seasons they have spent around 600m and a net spend of around 400m. They had to sell big last sumner, need to do so again.

I would say rather than getting older, sziget is just making itself less attractive for newbies and veterans a like. Part of the pull for me was it was a long festival, glastonbury like with the other stuff, weather, cheap beer and line ups. Last few years they have cut back on the days which acts are playing, also moving in days have been cut back. Cut back on the other stuff hoping on. It's not a cheap festival anymore, in relation to beer and food. All the other major festivals have decent lineups, one can only presume sziget got hit by covid financially more than most. I would highly suspect the non hungarian attendee, will be at the lowest this year. I've certainly turned, checking out electric castle in Romania this year.

To be honest, out of the major festivals it is very weak. The headliners are weak, so is the undercard. Sziget will always be my fave festival, but there comes a time when Sziget must realise people are not just going to come for the experience and Budapest. Its certainly not a £300 festival this year. Financially the festival must be struggling, plenty around the scene this summer especially under cards.

Covid perhaps hurt sziget more than most, as the last 3 lineups have been woeful.

That's a pretty good record to be honest, especially when you think he has only won 1 title.

Its all fate, and I know how you Liverpool scousers love Klopp. But if |Gerrard never slipped, you would never have got Klopp in the 1st place. Very much like the 80s when utd won 10 straight games, if it was not for Robbo getting injured should of won the league in the mid 80s. If that happened, fergie would not have come in 86 and the rest that followed.
