  1. that poster has not been confirmed as official yet. Seems odd to me that people would make a fake one but just have to accept that people on the internet are weird.
  2. Are you able to share the screenshots? I can't find anything on Twitter either.
  3. Yeah they were great to a pretty small crowd on the Radio 1 stage last time. Not sure what a DJ set from them would sound like but I'm up for it.
  4. I do think BBCC are too big for the dance tent now. Especially if the clashfinder is right and they are on before KSI. Definitely would have been bumped up to R1/NME if that was still a thing.
  5. I agree it limits the damage to be able to announce the replacement straight away but still think it's poor form. Particularly for ALT LDN who are still in theory selling tickets with MGK on the lineup.
  6. But if it's 2, it would be reasonable for them to just say "Unfortunately so and so can no longer play, replacements will be announced very soon." Reading's comms are lacking as ever.
  7. Squid are sick, shame they are Leeds only. They have had the Transgressive stuff at Reading before. Usually in the Alternative Tent after hours as a silent disco.
  8. RE jxdn, it's never been on his tour pages either. Back in July, I went through the international acts tour pages out of curiosity and posted that R&L were missing from jxdn, MGK and Denzel Curry's pages.
  9. International acts pulling at this stage is presumably because they are not fully vaccinated and have failed to allow for the quarantine period. Or they just don't think it's worth the effort. City Morgue have a London show on 26th August which hasn't been pulled yet. I think it's Zilla only though.
  10. It's about finding the balance between mitigating risk but still enjoying your time. For me, it's sticking to the back or sides of indoor tents and not mingling with groups of unvaccinated teens (easy to do when over 30!) I'll be sticking to my small group and hoping for the best. At the moment, the weather is looking on our side too.
  11. Agree with you about that. Might have made sense to switch Aitch & Declan McKenna, switch The Wombats with The Kid Laroi. I think there will only be a few moments like that in the evening though. Up until about 5pm, I don't think we'll see much difference with the main stages.
  12. I'm not convinced that everyone will move from one stage to the other. Plenty will use the 45 mins after an act finishes to go to the bar/toilet/get food/have a chat rather than rushing to see someone immediately afterwards. Download Pilot had just 2 stages which didn't clash and I was surprised at how many sets were still really quiet.
  13. Here is my post from 10th July. MGK didn't have it listed then so has not suddenly removed it.
  14. The dates were never on his site, I posted about that last month.
  15. Lots on Twitter saying Machine Gun Kelly has pulled out of ALT LDN and Reading & Leeds. Nothing official, appears to be based on some text message screenshots between a band member and someone close to the band saying they're only doing US dates due to covid. Pinch of salt.
  16. Ah yes, I think you are correct. I was confusing it with the Latitude pilot events. Their post says: "please note: If you are leaving the site at any point over the weekend to go to your car, the shop, or elsewhere you will need to show proof of your Covid status again on re-entry. So don’t forget your lateral flows". So if you have a valid covid pass, you're good. But, like you say, if it's been more than 72 hours since the last LFT then you'd need to do another one. Not that I ever leave the site.
  17. Can't answer the Weds question as I always arrive on the Thurs. They have said you'll need to provide a new negative LFT each time you return to site if you do leave, however.
  18. You are right, of course, but the excitement for everything even at my big old age is a lot right now!
  19. Less annoying back in the day because we could accurately predict the times based on previous years. Clashfinders were often 5-10 mins out. Nobody really has a clue how it's going to work out this year.
  20. Reading say no stage times until next week which absolutely sucks.
  21. If you get dropped off at the drop off point, just walk to the festival rather than wait for the boat. We have always done that, it's a nice walk
  22. Wilderness and Latitude dealt with the drop outs so well. Confirmed each one at the time & their replacements. Reading's comms have never been great when it comes to this sort of thing though.
