  1. Zoom in on the lower one and you can kind of make it out
  2. I thought that! But there’s more paint further up the field. I’m sure we will know soon enough edit: looks like “with …”, given they took in a refugee family I wonder if it’s “We Stand With Ukraine”?
  3. Or lining them up to make Carhenge extra posh
  4. I think that’s in the interstage area isn’t it? In 2009 I worked in a catering place up at the top by the farm and we got wristbands that allowed us to use the interstage area as a rat run (or at least it worked on Wednesday and Thursday but not at the weekend). I remember there was a dome shaped small stage in there.
  5. Based on when the Killers did it, if the word is out, you need to watch the act before to be inside the tent and you need to be there as that act comes off stage to get into the field
  6. One of our kids inadvertently took our 2013 Golf in there. Road tax for the vehicle is zero. But it still needs to pay I think £8 for the clean air zone. They didn’t spot the envelopes and the fine went up to £180 before we even knew about it.
  7. Are Snapped Ankles playing again?
  8. Waiting for the rental car place to open at Gatwick having landed at about 6:20am!!
  9. Send in the Clowns last year in Acoustic with Glen Tillbrook 🙂
  10. String lights are on across the other side 🙂 site looking pretty in the dusk
  11. I would recommend having all the emails printed and join the Q of vans on Tuesday. I’d expect the stewards to be ok and let you in. It’s a trek around the outside to the box office on foot on the Wednesday, but I’ve done it before (the trek, not the ticket pick up). I have arrived in van field a few days before on more than one occasion, delivering a rented van to get it parked up. I showed the stewards emails and it went ok, but that was a few days ahead of the festival actually opening.
  12. I won't be bringing wellies, just walking boots and other footwear. Hoping to spend a fair amount of time in sandals and a hat 🙂 It's amazing how quickly a relatively small amount of rain can turn the high traffic areas into a slippery and quite deep load of mess, and also how quickly the same can turn into rock hard mud again when the rain stops, especially if the sun comes out. The busy junctions and toilet areas will get churned up if there is some rain, but will dry out quickly as well.
  13. It’s a Led Zep morning today. Maybe a bit of mizzle and some moisture is needed ahead of our arrival. The Pyramid “mosh pit” is looking parched (not that I have been in front of the crush barrier there since 2014!)
  14. As you enter the bar we were on the left, quite a big group, playing “the hat game”. First time I’d played it. As people enter and approach the bar you all say if you think they brought their hat with them or bought it since arriving at the festival. Then someone goes and asks them. I think those that are wrong have to finish their drinks, or something like that. It was a decade ago and I’ve slept since then, Some of the hat people came and joined us. Lots of beers and hat related stories 🙂
  15. 27th June 2013 we tried to do them all that Thursday afternoon. No idea if we succeeded, but it was a fun day hiding from a fairly rainy afternoon iirc
  16. Yes, good point, it’s not all vegan. It is all veggie and it is amazing. Our 3 vegan daughters love it and we seem to end up there multiple times at every event!
  17. Dosa place at WG/carhenge. Totally amazing. picture is at EOTR but it looks the same at Glastonbury
  18. If this is still available my friend needs one. seems that the Twickets option won’t open until Tier4 festival tickets are all sold out.
  19. Forgot to say Cornish Arms in my list! Usually has Tribute as well, not strong but v nice. Pubs gone a bit dancey/DJ noisy but if its dry, which it will be, its a good place to get a beer and hang around outside or go along and listen to Leftfield from
