  1. I once did the catering for a free festival in Bath, in the '70s. The local health food shop (Harvest) donated a huge sack of muesli which we mixed with water and handed out for free on paper plates. That was the only food available.

I have a few favorites at glasto: the Indian takeaway by the stone  bridge, the fre food at the Hare Krishna tent and what I think was called Pauline Fowler, Home of the Growler.

I haven't been for a few years and interested in whats on offer. ✌️

  2. After many years of different weathers I would always go for good walking boots (and just walk around deep water). They are so much more comfortable, no chaffing on your calf's, more supportive. And Vouging  in my gold lamay hot pants I can tell you now, I  look the dogs!

  3. Im getting the 6am coach from victoria on weds (yippee)

I have a big rucksack and tent which is too heavy to carry for miles across the site.

Do you think i would be allowed to take a folding golf trolley on the coach as well as ruck sack?? Obviously it will be stashed in the hold with other luggae.

  4. I hope those of you boycotting the common ground cafe are going to avoid any muslim run food outlets / shops on site as there is very little difference in attitude (and teaching) between the two religions, they are both fundamentalist and backward thinking.

  5. I first saw Hawkwind in about 72 / 73 on the Space Ritual Tour with the 'classic' line-up - Brock, Turner and Lemmy - with Stacia in her undergarments as well....happy days for a youngish boy!!

  6. Few years ago I think it was when they switched to the Photo system a friend of a friend bought a ticket off ebay. It looked a bit like him same hairstlye etc but he thought it would be good enough.

So we all got down to Glasto in a convoy and got through to car parks and started queuing to get in.

He started to get nervous and worrying kept on showing ticket to us and saying "what do you reckon ?" etc. As he was saying this a steward was walking past and clocked him.

When we got to the wristbanding area even before his ticket was checked he was asked to go to the Stewards table and asked for ID etc. The Ebay seller had given him a utility bill which he showed and they took it and checked on database etc handed it back and we all thought sorted but no silly arse then got his wallet out to put it somewhere safe and his driving license fell out. Steward picked it up and looked at it...................... Lets just say he got very emotional at that point but the Stewards took the ticket off him and kicked him out. Mate had to drive him to Castle Cary to get train home. He has never bought tickets off Ebay again.

  7. Having been to glasto many times (10+) in sun, wind and rain - I have a confession to make.

I have never been to the cider bus!

I have passed it many times (though i dont actually know exactly where it is). In my early years i was too tripped out to want to do alcohol, then I always thought it looked "to busy" when i stumbled across it.

So this year I am going to make a B line for the Bus and be buggered ( i will be the naked one in the mud singing Worzel songs).

  8. Great news! Still haven't seen him on the line up and don't know what stage he'll be on, but just got an email from Nik saying that he'll be playing a set on Sunday afternoon at around 3pm to 4pm. I'm trying to find out which stage and will post it here when I do.

  9. has any one been stopped and sent home in the last 4 glastos? (since the new tickets etc) For what ever reason: not their ticket, not carrying enough drugs, too ugly?

I think they are too busy and dont actually care on the day and let all comers with some sort of ticket in. What say you?
