  1. Air weren't booked in case they did a moon safari on the bloke from Keane's face.
  2. Of all the weedy post-Coldplay albums made in 2004 by men with enormous faces, Keane probably are the best - at least, after Elbow.
  3. I don't give a fiddlers about edginess. It's not a real criterion.
  4. Based on the reviews I've read they do seem to have dropped a clanger by not landing the Moon Safari show.
  5. I don't know much about them other than that they are genuinely very popular - but aren't D Block Europe a bit entry level?
  6. Declan Mackenna. King Krule. Keane on the Pyramid....
  7. Keep looking at the poster having forgotten that Two Door Cinema Club have prominent billing and it hits me anew.
  8. Fat White Family genuinely are wrong 'uns though, right?
  9. I too am fuming about the lack of edgy bands Air and Echo and the Bunnymen.

Despite it being one of the world's biggest fimancial centres there are no wealthy people in Sao Paulo. They all live in empty banana crates and use tin cans on string to communicate.
  11. There's very little chance of, say, PJ Harvey attracting similar sized crowds to the likes of Blondie or Lewis Capaldi.
  12. Might have the opposite problem this year when the Pyramid isn't acting as a huge population sink and suddenly everywhere else feels abnormally busy.
  13. At this point they're all still guesswork / fan fiction.
  14. I'm in a constant battle with Guy Garvey about that.
  15. Not least when you check out their new material.
  16. Yeah my whole team are firmly in the frame for Justice but I don't really fancy repeating 2017 all over again so soon..
  17. Open your mind to explore the sonic wonders of Paloma Faith and the Gossip.
  18. Not intentional. Rarely look at who I'm responding to in a given conversation.
  19. Demographics? Folk in here tend not to be Silver Hayes super-users so that area d@bbing up hasn't resonated in the same way as e.g. William's Green disappearing.
  20. Nah. I'll crack on as is thanks. Folk have got every right to comment critically on something that's cost them a fortune.
  21. Folk aren't disappointed by the line up because of the unfamiliar names. It's because of all the familiar ones.
  22. Taking aside the lack of a genuinely unique heritage act on the line-up (which we can probably assume this year would have been Madonna), its the disappointing undercard that's the bigger issue. The same top 3 would be easier to swallow with more consistency overall.
  23. Normally she's outside my bedroom window with a loudhailer hyping me up about Elbow.
  24. I reckon you could crunch some data on new acts vs acts who've played multiple times to objectively show that the line-up contains less in the way of novelty this year.
