  1. Nice one, cheers! Quite reasonable
  2. Anybody got an idea how much the Pulp tickets are?? If its over £100 might just bite the bullet and do Latitude instead
  3. Anybody know if there is any substance behind the rumour the Woodland Stage is going? Appreciate there were issues this year but that seems like a massive mistake if its true. Thought the big tent that they announced was going to be in addition to the woodland not instead of (again, if its true)
  4. More than anything else I am hoping the crowd it attracts this year is similar to previous years, as a few people have pointed out does seem to be a fair few mouthy 'if you don't like it dont get a ticket' dickheads holding forth on social media. Be good to get a hint of the line up soon as well.
  5. We have done Beautiful Days and Bearded Theory several times with our now 7 year old daughter. Really enjoyed both although found Bearded was a little bit easier as its a smaller site. Lots of kid friendly stuff and the crowd itself is generally very laid back...think there is a big crossover between the BD and BT crowds. There is an OFSTED registered school on the Friday but places tend to go very quickly (believe registration opens on 1st Jan this year). We don't normally bother though to be honest, you only really need them out of school for two days (Monday being a bank holiday) or if you live close enough I tend to go set up Thursday and the other half and babby come down Friday. As somebody has already said would caveat with BT now being under new ownership so could change massively, although if that is the case hopefully it will be incremental changes rather than all in one go.
  6. Pixies playing some UK dates next year to promote their new album... ...just saying.
  7. We were in two minds but decided to book anyway. Will see how it goes in terms of trek from the car park, how cramped it feels in the arena and the atmosphere but will go in with an open mind. Hoping to see Pulp at a festival next year, guessing too big for Bearded? Think Latitude is more likely. Anybody seen any response on when first announcement is due? They've answered most questions but can't see a response on that yet.
  8. The organisers have said on Facebook there will be more space in the campsites next year Even if it means a longer walk from the carpark I think thats a good move.
  9. Yeah, meant hopefully there is a bit more space than last year when the capacity increased from 10k to 15k.
  10. Hoping they have got more fields for the increased capacity...might be wrong but everything felt slightly more cramped this year. Felt like they had the same footprint as they did when it was 10k. Quite looking forward to seeing the impact the changes have
  11. Especially if they erect it upside down
  12. Big Top is a good addition, particularly if it replaces the fairground. Will presumably mean the Woodland will have smaller acoustic bands so less of a crush. Adult tickets presumably increasing (as expected). We are debating whether to try for early birds or wait until there has been a line up announcement and some of the other questions have been answered.
  13. Which means I will be completely wrong on both platforms
  14. Maybe the wavy pasta thing isn't wavy pasta and is instead 'Super Grass'?? The crying hand one. What would you get if you were standing up and your hand was crying...a Wet Leg
  15. I thought maybe Third Eye Blind, apparently they are still going.
  16. I don't think its bitterness, just seems a bit of a waste of time (but thats up to them and we can obviously choose to ignore them if we want) Anyway, very much looking forward to some news that doesn't involve old Queenie. Roll on 12.10!
  17. Yeah, spot on. They can't rely on just riding the wave of goodwill the previous organisers built up. If these are supposed to be clues to some of the bands they obscure to the point of being worthless, like the ones they used to have on '3-2-1'. 'My first is in hatstand but my mother's ukulele was from Nairobi'
  18. All we can take from their recent posts is a) they have access to a computer and b) they have too much time on their hands.
  19. Nice one...cheers. Looking forward to this...camping next to the car is a massive bonus!
  20. Yeah hoping to catch them. Like the fact there arent loads of stages so dont have to worry so much about clashes as at other festivals. Does anybody know if you can your booze into the arena at this one?
  21. Overall brilliant weekend. Got in remarkably quickly, was pitched up by 9.30am. As my other half and babby weren't coming until the Friday went down to the entrance to give people a hand who were struggling (rather than just start drinking). Really enjoyed Dubioza Kolektiv, Frank Turner, Hives, No Doubt, Porridge Radio and Flaming Lips. Bumped into and shook Wayne Coynes hand and caught their soundcheck (not gonna lie, I cried when they did the soundcheck for 'Do You Realize?!') which was a massive bonus. Definitely felt busier than previously. Sure the organisers said the capacity hadnt increased but can't believe that...by 4-5pm most days felt like all the stages were rammed. With the exception of Bob Vylan didnt really get to see anything on the Woodland (couldnt justify queuing for an hour when there were other bands on) The ale was decent but felt like a lot less choice than in previous years. Literally everybody I spoke to was lovely (was wearing a 'Never Voted Tory' t shirt on Saturday which started a lot of conversations). Overall, great weekend, although it felt slightly less being part of a little secret club than in previous years.
  22. Think they are recommending selling on Twickets...good luck
  23. Hoping to be set up around the same time...need to try and take it easy on the beer once the tent is up so dont peak too soon. Will probably go back down to entrance and see if anybody needs a hand
  24. Yeah, really surprised he is subbing...we saw him at Beautiful Days which has a much bigger capacity last year and he was headlining so its almost like we are getting two headliners on the Saturday
  25. Yeah...this time next week...FINALLY! Been packed for ages although my other half is leaving to the last minute (as per usual). Cannot wait.
