I really thought they'd have got booked for one of the Eden Sessions, either this year or last.

This is exactly what I had thought and hoped. I saw them there in 2002. I’ve asked a few questions and there are no signs of it happening…on the plus side we do have Suede in June…I’m assuming you’re a fan?

Off the top of my head:

    David Bowie - Blackstar

Johnny Cash - The American Series

Kate Bush - 50 Words for Snow

A Tribe Called Quest - We got it from here... thank you for your service

Depending on your definition of "heritage" - My Bloody Valentine - mbv, Slowdive - Slowdive as well

Suede, their last album Autofiction…but any of the last three albums. Also incredible live band.

your experience wasn't everyone's. i was led to believe that they tried to charge someone saying the space in the field was still available.

what i'm saying is to read the t&c's and make sure you're happy with all of them.

Fair enough, my experience was actually MY experience though and not just something ‘I was led to believe’.

And after staying there for 5 years, I can honestly say I have never heard anyone say a bad word against it…apart from people on here who haven’t ever stayed there, but are against it because it’s a load of posh people who don’t get Glastonbury etc etc.

what happens if  there's the cancellation of the frestival.

Our experience (when there was the Covid cancellation) was that they rolled it over to the following year. We were very happy with this as we wanted to guarantee our place there. From all my dealings with them, I’ve found them to be very fair and always friendly.

  5. If you want a camping option that’s not on site, it’s the closest option. We’ve been staying there for a few years and love it.

We’ve previously had the pitch your own option and this year had a pre-erected bell tent.

The main benefits are decent toilets and showers, space between tents and being able to drive up to your tent with your gear.

It’s not going to be for everyone and I understand that. For us, it makes our Glastonbury manageable.

There are also VIP options of furnished tents and Airstreams. They are where the big wooden house thing is. The Magic Numbers played there on Thursday night. This part is fenced off and only accessible to the VIP campers.

We were not even 5 minutes from the gate.

There is literally not one corner of this festival where you're not subjected to hearing shitey dance music 24/7 wether you want to or not. Had a panic attack earlier and had to go to a sensory relaxation tent with massive headphones. Even with them on, I could hear two stages blasting identical sh*t. Its driving me insane.

Agree completely…we were walking over to Woodsies earlier and my head was ringing and it felt like this incessant music was following me everywhere. Then I realised that a guy walking a few paces behind me had a Bluetooth speaker in his backpack!

I wish there were some more options around the site for a dance, but not to dance music!

So after all the talk of them pulling something special out of the bag for Glastonbury and possibly bringing back a couple of old tunes for good measure, and they play possibly the most uninspired setlist of their tour yet, with even less Whatever songs than they’ve been playing for the rest of the tour 😄

Was it as dull as it looked on TV, or is this a case of it being far better in the field than what the beeb have captured?

It was just as dull in the crowd. We were at the back of the field and it was busy but not crazy. As they played, more and more people disappeared. By the end of the performance there was loads of space and we could have walked down the field to a better position if we wanted to.

The thing that struck me was that the crowd was so quiet between songs and I noticed that a lot of people sat down during the boring bits…and there were lots of them!

The strangest Pyramid headliner experience I’ve had. Let’s see how GnR do tomorrow.

  8. I’m so sorry to hear that…great that you’re getting the attention you need and will be fit and healthy for next year, which will have a far better line up than this year! Take care.
