  1. I disagree with that, I really liked Hardwired and it perhaps a top 5 or even top 3 Metallica album for me.
  2. What does the charts in 3 non-UK countries have to do with a UK festival? The chart positions of Ukraine's top ten and where Eric Prydz plays all seems like silly bollocks which isn't relevant to how Download books their acts.
  3. So Eric Prydz to headline Download then?
  4. If Queens are doing something non-Glasto next year then I'd hope it's another London gig in a field, fucking shit bars asides that Finsbury Park show was a great day out.
  5. With the amount of British bands that have American singing voices on the line up will people even miss the US acts? 😜
  6. The Heavy music awards are taking place on the 2nd Sep at Kentish Town Forum, tixs are a min £5 but you can pay more if you want with it all going to the charity Nordoff Robbin who help special needs people with learning music. https://www.universe.com/events/heavy-music-awards-2021-tickets-7YQBVP
  7. I personally prefer the US bands pulling out as Capdown, The Skints, Frank Turner and Creeper are great additions and have made the line up look better for me. The band that pulled out who I miss the most is Refused who aren't even American. I was hoping to see them again to make up for the hellish co-headlining Thrice show they did.
  8. I don't think Desert Sessions even play live, it would be a nightmare trying to get all of those musicians at the same unless they are going to play just the one volume.
  9. They should be headlining at this point, it will be depressing seeing Queens under someone like KISS.
  10. Why would Salem need to be a secret though? It's not like they are bigger than the spot they would play in. My guess would be for a Frank Turner solo set.
  11. It's people moving in the same direction, it'll be fine. Sonisphere and All Points East have had no clashes on their mainstages which needed a walk between them and there was no stampede.
  12. That sucks. It’s the worse feeling in the world having to lower your weights. After a year+ of working on my sofa instead of a proper chair in the office my back has been playing up and I’ve had to take breaks from free weights a couple of times which ended up with me losing a bit of strength. However I kept myself motivated and pushed myself back to the same weights I use to lift.
  13. I'm just pointing out Spider Man is a Sony film not a Disney one so their reasoning may be different but I see the bigger problem as all the lawsuits Disney are getting from thier stars losing money by co-releasing them on Disney+, if they can't redo the deals then Disney may delay them.
  14. Underworld is probably the venue I've been to the most. It may be a dark hole where you're often standing on something sticky, there's no security to stop stage invasions/diving, that pillar is annoying as fuck and flies buzz around in the toilets but it's a proper rock venue I'd happily take over an O2 venue. 🤘
  15. I feel like a lot of their characters are just perfect and brilliant caricatures like Aquaman, Damien Wayne, Kite Man, Doctor Psycho (he's ruined Toy Story 4 when I watched it as every time I hear Forky as a misogynistic arsehole), Maxie Zeus, Queen of Fables etc. It's weird it has taken this long to see Harley Quinn in UK as I watched it lasst year.
  16. I seem to remember both of them being talked about in US movies/shows so I had a look at their US albums sales. The Smiths have only ever had their albums go gold in ‘merica whilst Oasis have had a couple of platinum albums including one selling over 4 million. This was 20+ years ago though so fuck knows in terms of relevancy today. At least we can all agree on that both Oasis and The Smiths are terrible bands. 😜
  17. Plus they would probably have Nigel Farage as the opening act to try and gain right wing fans to make up all the lefties he's now lost. The user you're arguing with didn't have an account on here 6 months ago so they couldn't have bad mouthed Boris then even if they wanted to. Are you just assuming everyone was anti-Boris/pro lockdowns?
  18. I'm not sure how many people would be excited about The Smiths nowadays, people fucking hate Morrissey now. I was hating Morrissey before it was cool.
  19. There's the likes of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones etc who are more deserving of the title of most levelled up British Band ever.
  20. I agree, I don’t give a shit about Catfish but catching a band when they are at their white hot peak and headlining a fest to me is more exciting than a huge act just making another stop on their world wide tour. Depending on the act themselves of course. It kinda reminds me of when Download waited too long to have Biffy headline so when they finally did the reaction was just meh to them. It’s gonna be the same when Download are finally promoting some new headliners due Def Leppard, KISS and Aerosmith dying of old age and those new headliners are already past their peak.
  21. The Vandals are the only band I’d miss that pulled out but Creeper and The Skints more than make up for it for me. I’m still 50/50 about getting a tix, it’s just a really busy period for me.
  22. Just create an account with them, the link is below; https://www.showfilmfirst.com/create_account.php#application_form
  23. £5 tixs for Jess Glynne at Newmarket this Friday if anyone wants to go; https://www.showfilmfirst.com/pin/878141
  24. Cheers for the heads up on Baxter Dury!
  25. Drugs and alcohol aren't rock n roll! All the sugar from a glass of juice is the only rush I need. 😜
