  1. Oh balls. I remember seeing them when they started off busking at Mad Iccy's stall all those years ago. Great lads
  2. Same! Begrudgingly agreed to take my daughters (and wear pink) and enjoyed it more than they did. Lots of funny moments and really good fun. Will probably watch again
  3. I nearly forgot to tune back in after, and then something unbelievable began to unfold. What a series. And mad to think that some of the England team were kids when the Flintoff / Pieterson Ashes unfolded
  4. Back for my 16th time. Taking my wife and kids for the first time though so won't be frazzled for a change 🙂
  5. Just incredible. The final day was bonkers, right down to that very last ball. Loved it
  6. Sorry to hear that mate - I thought you were protesting! Looked like a lot of fun there though
  7. Did I see you on the telly coverage - refusing to crouch down with everyone else? 😄
  8. For about 2 weeks I have been in 2 minds about going, even though I've had 2 tickets since the day they went on sale. Been blown out recently so going alone, which isn't so much of an issue as I've done a few BT's solo before and I'm quite happy with solitude, but last year I was camped near some right ar$eholes who barely went to see any bands and instead kept everyone awake all night being loud and offensive and I'm stressing there'll be more tw@s there this year. Unreasonable of me I know, and I know I've no right to expect everyone at a festival to be friendly, but lockdown has ramped my previously minor anxiety to twitchy levels - plus I'm getting old and tired. Then this morning I look at the lineup again and immediately book a hotel nearby for the Weds night so I can get onsite early on the Thurs. I make no sense to myself but I know it's going to be a great few days 😄
  9. Levellers collective acoustic at the Lighthouse, Poole. Brilliant show, band really tight and Mark on top entertaining form. New arrangements of old songs, and the two new ones, sounding great. The sound quality at the venue was astonishingly clear and I hope the floor was sprung as it felt like it was going to collapse by the end 👍
  10. "trying" 😄 Yep, we've all been there surely
  11. Are you doing the naked balloon dance near the Wurlitzer after 3 pints of suicider?
  12. Frank Turner in Pompey last night. Echoing what others have said - he was on top form and the band sound tighter than ever. Wilswood Boys were good considering this is their first tour. Lottery Winners - I was not expecting that! The frontman is a force of nature, totally engaging right from the off, and they've got great songs, loved it 👍
  13. Brilliant 😁 I'm sure he would have taken that as a compliment! Lucky I didn't find him, the state I was in I probably would have given him a massive hug 😬
  14. Mate! What a treat! I was very hungover in my tent when I heard the soundcheck and couldn't work out what was going on. I don't think I've ever heard a headliner doing their own soundcheck at a festival before. Race For The Prize + fireworks + crowd singalong to What A Wonderful World = unlikely to ever be topped 👌
  15. They haven't. They should do - it would be the best combination. They were stunning at Bearded last year
  16. This has tickled my balls nicely. Bearded cupped them warmly. In a nutshell - can't wait to be back at Escot again 👍
  17. You said there would be more chance of snow, my weird brain thought of this. I'll get my coat 😁
  18. Sorry Bamber - I meant this (it sounded funnier in my head)
  19. He hasn't played live for ages, typical one-hit wonder
  20. Right Next Door To Hell. It's there on a plate to start the show, pure bassline sexiness. When I saw them in 91 they opened with Perfect Crime and that worked well, then into Mr Brownstone, crowd swell like nothing I'd experienced before - feckin terrifying
  21. He headlined the Saturday night in 94. He was on a world tour and banned any footage or photos of his Glastonbury set being released, not heard of that before or since. I think I saw Tricky instead
