Originally due to headline the pyramid in 2005 I think. She played a very well received legend slot in 2019, it was a lot of fun. Would be something which hasn't happened before to go from legend slot to headliner.

I'm with you. I think the information about him playing was legit, I don't think it was someone just making up rubbish and I'm inclined to believe that the information about him now not playing is legit as well - although somehow it is harder to get my head around why that might have happened. Overall it has been a pretty weird situation this year it has stretched what you are prepared to believe or not. I never thought that I could go from Madonna to Stevie Wonder to not having a clue. I expect there will be some more twists to come as well.

so one rumour was Stevie Wonder is a headliner another rumour is that Stevie Wonder has dropped out. We don't really know whether either are true or have ever been true or changed. they both seem like they could be correct enough for people to put faith in them. Is what you are saying is that you think both of the rumours have been false. Ends up at the same place but just gets there a different route?

I mean, given the quality and importance of the work that Stevie has produced you could argue that most acts are going to be a big downgrade. Most people will never know that Stevie was ever in the running though so it isn't like a "here's what you could have won" type moment.

Yeah, the rest of the BST info has been on the money with acts and dates they are playing - massively unlikely it could have been guessed with that accuracy. It sounds like it is something which has changed. Of course it's one of those things which we may never know for sure.

Yeah, she has got a run of really well known crossover songs - I would say Billie is a good comparison.

I think an O-Rod bump makes a lot of sense. It looks good to have a headliner which is really popular with young people and a hot ticket for her own gigs right now. Would definitely get press, likely the press would be positive. I know that Dua Lipa/Coldplay/ Olivia Rodrigo doesn't read well for the real guitars/real haircuts clan but much more interesting than someone like KoL.

yeah some of the names suggested for subs and Other stage headliners could get a bump and it wouldn't look too out of place.
