  1. all this clash talk has made me double down on how i hate that more and more festivals are moving away from clashing bands.

i love the horrible choice you sometimes have to make, its part of a festival, its what makes a great festival!

  2. i second what people have said

my fav festival i have been too by far. everything about is easy and great. if the houses on the main road outside still do their own set ups and sell beer as well, then thats just the cherry on top

one downside is the amount of clashes if into alot of genres, but i love a clash, means its a good festival.

Lads yis are hilarious (and a bunch of contrary b*stards!😁). Some one else posts the NOLA Jazz Festival lineup in another thread and everyone salivates over it, Supre posts it here and it’s shite! FWIW, I think it’s stacked (even if most of the big hitters have been on the farm previously…we’d happily take them back though if we are being honest!).

    edit: typo

they all love piling on don't they, he could post the Glasto lineup on an American festival background they would all call it rubbish and then say it was the best thing in the world if it was just posted as the glasto lineup.

for me there's too many hurdles in the way ... we shall see

People forgetting the poll leads the repubs had in the mid terms and pretty much had their worst ever in terms of what was expected..which was a wipe out of the democrats.

There aren't any extra customs checks for a british person leaving the UK? There is a lack of staff post covid though I agree.

I think it is selling just fine. It's just a daft example anyway.

Are you seriously telling me that everyone you know is hard up at the moment? I must be imagining Glasto selling out in seconds (didn't do that during the financial crisis) and everyone I know going on foreign holidays.

Download also sold out hasnt done so in years, as had a lot of the medium size festivals, arenas and stadiums selling out as well as academy size gigs with tickets more expensive than ever, NFL managed to sell out wembley and spursx2 in 2 minutes, hell even the Hives who didnt sell out venues last time are selling out an academy tour at nearly 45 quid a ticket.

airports are full, cities are full every weekend, towns are probably worse off i would imagine though

people are worse off yes, but as you state its nowhere near the economic crash, yet

So...that went well...given Bluedot stopped day ticket holders to enter the site yesterday! Ah well, I'll keep my eyes peeled for new dates when they get back from the States...

bit of a trek but they are playing Connect in Edinburgh alongside Fred Again...shame its the same time as the other festival so means hotel prices are astronomical

  7. Feeder are a strange band, and by that i mean the massive fall in fame and demand, while bands like Kaiser chiefs have maintained popularity to some degree.

Feeder have the hit recognizable songs, they were not far off headlining festivals, they played arenas,

i saw the at the NIA, and 10 years later at the barfly.

    no idea what happened

It’s an absolute disgrace they have whipped up a social media campaign which has ruined a mans reputation without a proper investigation or trial.

we are all hypocrites to be fair, if this was someone on the right we didnt like we would all act in the same way calling for them to be sacked etc before any investigation etc

  9. I've just got back from Nos Alive to an Email saying I will get a code before Lisbon tickets go in sale on Wednesday

I'm guessing this is after the album presale?

    Missed alot of Info

    Thanks

  10. Just went day 2 this year loved it once again

Went into Arctics not being much of a fan and bracing myself for an awful performance as so many usually say they put on and I was surprised at how good they were, they smashed it ...helps the sound on the main stage is the best of any festival I've been too

Lizzo was great fun as usual and was a great vibe

When Lil Nas X decided to show up he was amazing as well ..wasn't going to watch but glad I stayed, what a show man.

Amazon's were decent enough ..didn't get bored

Sylvan Esso was a great dance for the few songs I caught ..H.S.K.T was brilliant.

Idles were the best though, smashed it and was great being in a group of strangers who knew every word

It's my go to festival in the best city in Europe, won't be the last time I visit that's for sure

    Kasabian and Muse say hi.

you trying to argue these were never headliner size? baffling especially the Muse take, not a fan but maybe one of the biggest British rock bands at the time when they were at their most popular

    strange take
