  1. With England drawing with the USA today it is going to make the match on the 23 vital if England are going to progress. For those of you interested (I know many could not give a flying fig) an added worry to will the queue be bad to get in, can I get in the field I want, will the trolley hold up, how many trips to the car will I need to do, will the tent have a hole in it/mold on it and will it rain. Not that I am a worrierwink.gif

  2. I went last year and I'm going again this year.

We get contractors tickets though becasue of relations with the traffic management team for the event, which means we don't pay but we don't pitch with the majority of people so I can't tell you too much about the camping side of things. It's great fun for everybody though really. It's marketed as a family festival but it's just as suitable for a younger audience. I'm 18 and last year it pretty much consisted of lounging about in the day watching the smaller indie bands, then going to the electronic tents at night to see the electro/dnb/dubstep DJs. It's a very relaxed festival and a lot different to the larger UK festivals, but good nontheless. I must say I think the price is a little steep this year, but other than that. There's a great selection of food and drink, including some interesting cocktail bars that I'll be having a look at this year.

Have you actually been before / going this year?

  3. Still not convinced by Matt Smith every episode seems more and more kid friendly, I don't mind suspending disbelief but really an Off switch :P I loved the last series and so want to like this new Doctor but I am have to say that the writing seems poor compared! My five year old has decided that he has had enough and he loved the last series. Maybe it will get better *Fingers Crossed*

  4. Almost my entire record collection is usually deemed uncool by most of my friends but I could careless :P

I check every year to see if there is a Glastonbury shaped hole in David Essex's tour schedule but alas I fear he maybe just tooo cool for a festival now :P I'd also like to see Def Leppard, Duran Duran, Dolly Parton, Glen Campbell, Asia, Marillion (fish not hogarth), Kansas, Toto and Heart. I'd also like to see Lionel Richie no idea why but I bet he'd be good :P

  5. Gotta hand it to you mate. That’s that the best bit of fishing I’ve ever seen. As soon as Sifi pulls his head out of the toilet and cleans the vomit up, I’m sure he’ll reply. That’s if he isn’t running through a shopping centre with a machine gun and a bag of grenades at the moment.

That is f**king AWFUL. Unspeakably bad. The most vile post in the history of efests. And I include the posts from the people Neil has banned for being racist and homophobic.

  6. I don't know any other bands doing it but i will say anyone willing to buy an album to pay £85 to go and see Simply Red probably deserves to be a little bit poorer. They're a disgrace.
  7. The ticket price was for the London gig, not sure what the prices are like elsewhere, I just think it's a bit of a bloody cheek putting out yet another album of mouldy oldies, knowing fans will buy it just so they can get hold of the pre order code. :P

  8. I have just seen an advert for the Simply Red album Songs of Love and heard at the end of the ad that if you buy the album you can get to pre order tickets for their farewell gig!

So not satisfied with gouging their fans of £85 a ticket (I think these were the cheapest) but they also want them to pay for an album full of old crap they have churned out for the hundredth time so squeeze out the last drops of their fans goodwill.

Despicable - just another in a long list of reason to hate them :P I was never a fan but I never really hated them (it always seemed more energy than was really necessary) but this bit of shitty, money grabbing, bit marketing has just made me really pi**ed off

Are there other bands out there sucking like this?

  9. :P:P:P:P I really wish you two would post more!!

yeah we do make other people seem normal don't we :(

Anyway - read my post above. I said - and I quote:

I'm not going to boycott the show (maybe just the license fee :() but that episode and that arsehole being in it will leave a nasty taste in the mouth.

Hey - if it turns out to be good, I'll admit I was wrong. But I'd be amazed if I manage to sit through the whole thing without swearing continually or not leaving the room at some point.

    Fair enough mate :P

  10. Of all the people to lecture me about a rational, passionate hatred, I knew it'd be you *cough Radiohead cough*. :P :P

Let's say you're in a pub. You're having a great time, it's your favourite pub. Then a complete tosser comes in, punches you in the stomach and leaves again.

Sure, he wasn't there all night but I bet you won't forget his presence during an otherwise excellent evening.

Completely ruin it? No, I don't think so. Infect my viewing pleasure like a bout of the shits? Oh yes.

I bear no responsability for what TGD is about to post.

And Birmingham have never won anything

    SOFA!!
