  1. I don't think they are just hanging around, but if you walk to the Holiday Inn, which is about 15/20 mins away, they will be able to order one for you.
  2. I think you’re over analysing this. All the info today has already been public knowledge, and Boomtown are just using this as an opportunity to reaffirm this. Honesty is the best policy and all that. Trust me, this year is going to absolutely blow your mind. I’ve seen snippets of the line up (which I won’t be revealing), and it’s stacked. New areas and stages look incredible and they will be knocking it’s out the ball park this year. They can’t afford not to, and they are well aware of it.
  3. This is correct. All forest parties other than the Psy-forest will be open, and maybe some more as well 👀
  4. As confirmed by their "LOL" date on the 12th of August on this:-
  5. One of the Boomtown bookers is also booking The Common line up at Glastonbury, so i'd expect a lot of the below playing at Boomtown as well:-
  6. I really enjoyed the set, but i'd prepared for it by listening to The Now Now a lot prior to the set. They also played pretty much all of their well known songs aside from 19-2000, but i think people expected them to start with Feel Good Inc, Clint Eastwood or Dare, which they were never going to do.
  7. The Acid Leak which is run by the people who used to do The Rave Yard are returning this year, so the usual dose of acid techno will be there
  8. Really? I thought his latest tour dates ruled him out?
  9. David Rodigan and Gentleman's Dub Club both self confirmed.
  10. I can confirm we currently have no rumours of Harry Styles or The Spice Girls performing at the festival!
  11. THIS! Having to send the crows nest line up over two tweets is a right pain!
  12. Haha i won't be that cryptic! We also get sent a lot of wild goose chases during the festival. I had people convinced that Harry Styles and The Spice Girls were playing secret sets during the last festival. Although after a little investigation I knew they wouldn't be happening, you do find yourself doubting what you're about to tweet out when you send everyone up the The Park to see Foals, and it's actually Harry Styles that turns up.
  13. I normally put a subtle hint in a tweet that a fan would get earlier on in the day, which using the Killers as an example i said "Somebody told me who the secret set is, but i'm trying to verify it". Gives the fans a heads up, and then I confirm it within the last hour or two of the performance.
  14. Yeah, i'd say that's pretty spot on. We usually know the majority prior to the festival, or have a very educated guess, but we usually get 100% confirmation within 24 hours of the performance. I always resist tweeting anything until I am 100% confident, and time the tweets to try and not make it a health and safety issue, by thousands of people rushing to go to a small stage.
  15. Got a feeling crew bar will be moved, but would be perfect if it isn't! I'm concerned about sound bleed with Tangled and Hidden woods, but guessing they have done their homework 🤞
  16. Boomtown are going to make a substantial loss this year. It's unavoidable due to the increase in costs and the fact they are working to budgets that were designed on 2020 prices. However, they aren't cutting back on the line up budget or the budget for the show, as they want to ensure everyone has the best possible time and they don't want to jeopardise the future of the festival by cutting back and leaving punters unhappy. I think you're right about the level of headliner, but by the sounds of it, the line up is pretty stacked. Before anyone asks, i don't know any names. From what I have heard, the new DNB and Reggae district and large main stage will be situated at the bottom of the hippy highway in front of the hidden woods, which will essentially be the redesigned lions den but moved across to that location.
  17. It's really tricky. Normally, i would say just try and buy more beers, merch etc at the festival to try and help, but it's hard enough to afford to go to a festival with the cost of living sky rocketing. It's a really tough one, and I think for a number of festivals this could be their last summer 😞
  18. Mandidextrous has just self confirmed on her latest tour dates. Hardly surprising, given the fact she produces a lot of the music for the opening/closing ceremonies, but it's good to have a self confirmation at long last!
  19. Depends on where The Prodigy are also playing on the tour. BT tried to keep the booking as a "special guest" that wouldn't be announced last time, but that wasn't allowed either.
  20. They were booked until a festival in London kicked up a stink and demanded they were an exclusive, so the Boomtown booking didn't happen.
  21. Would say there is a high chance of Damian Marley and IDLES playing at BT. From the rest of the line up, i'd be very surprised if Greentea Peng, Kings of the Beat, Jungle Cakes Takeover, General Levy, 24Hr Garage Girls and Born On Road didn't all make an appearance.
