Gav's newest update for next week and part of Glastonbury is certainly looking a lot more promising today. Possible thunderstorms this week but nothing too concerning.

Even mention of an Azores high on the Wednesday of the gates opening. Lets hope for more of this! tumblr_n0srxqpoeV1rj6lpxo1_400.gif.58c4c45840b3c9f23496db7470caf597.gif

    I wish I hadn't seen that , it's very harrowing indeed

yes, I can understand, this will (hopefully) be my 20th Glastonbury, which should be something to shout about, but my partner of about 14 years recently decided that we were 'too different' and we split up, which has entailed her preparing to buy me out of our house, so I am looking for somewhere to live quite soon, which is quite a lot to think about , logistically and emotionally.

However, I have a bunch of friends also going to the festival, so it'll be good to see them and try not to worry too much about whats coming up in my life. I'm sure it'll all work out in the end.

I am in this exact same situation only it's my wife of 30 years. It hurts like hell and Glasto is a huge driving force in keeping me going. it's what happens after that terrifies me. I wish you all the best comrade.

Tastiest curry thing I remember on site was the Chapati Man chicken wraps. Can't remember having a really good whole plateful of curry since the end of Breadies though. Lots of nice samosas though, the place near the other stage/silver hayes fork were particularly lip smacking

I think you've inspired a mission this year. Will have to find the Peckish Peacock and more

It's the BBC that are talking sense.

    Monday 24 JuneSunday 7 July

Becoming warmer and drier for most.

The end of June and start of July should see high pressure building more widely across Europe, with Atlantic low pressure systems generally staying to the north-west of the UK. Most parts of England and Wales can expect to see a lot of dry weather, and temperatures will tend to be above normal in all areas, with southern and eastern areas likely to be warmest.
The low pressure systems passing to our north-west may bring occasional spells of rain and some windy weather to Scotland and Northern Ireland, but both countries can expect a fair amount of dry and calm weather, and it will be warmer than normal too.
As always, there is some uncertainty for this part of the forecast. One reason for this is that there is a tendency for low pressure systems affecting the UK in mid-June to linger for the rest of the month. So, whilst we expect the weather to become drier and warmer, there is a chance that it may remain unsettled and cool through to the start of July, with some spells of warm, dry weather, albeit perhaps rather short-lived.

OH my , I want to see this in a fortnight .

    13th-27th June Met office latest

Confidence is generally low through this period. The start of the period is likely to see a continuation of the cool and changeable conditions, with further showers or longer spells of rain, especially in the northwest. By mid-June there are indications of generally drier, more settled conditions being established across the UK. This change will be more marked across northwestern areas, following the changeable start to June. There are likely to be further changeable spells during the period, with a risk of thundery showers, more especially in the south. Temperatures will probably be above normal or warm overall for the time of year, with the warmest conditions most likely in the south and southeast.
