@The Nalwhat are the showers like? Is it individual cubicles? How many are there?
Showers are really good, individual cubicles, plenty of hot water and nice and clean. About 20 odd I'd guess so queues of a morning are ridiculous.
I've no patience for queuing personally so end up having them at all sorts of stupid hours when ya can walk straight in.

Other than the acts playing Manchester Psych Festival, does anybody know of any EOTR-types acts who have gigs or other festivals in August/September and could therefore be in the second announcement?
I see Passenger and Gruff Rhys are playing Mosely Festival on the same weekend.
Bambara?

They played there last year.
Stereolab are headlining 10,000 capacity Deer Shed so I'd say they're Garden headliner size. Do Nothing might play given EOTR may be the only festival they haven't yet been announced for.
Aha right. I missed last year.

Scalping would be fun late night big top

Id take any of them.
Wouldn't mind seeing DIIV make an appearance. Was hoping Destroyer would show up again aswell.

I'd love Aldous Harding in one of those afternoon slots but I am guessing she's too big now.
Yeah would have thought so.
Caught her first uk gig in front of about a dozen punters at Gullivers in Manc, she's come a long way since then... quite the transformation
-
Some of my favourite moments of EOTR are the first couple of slots on the garden stage on the saturday and Sunday early afternoon.... Anyone got any guesses as to who might fill those slots from the names so far?
That Andy Shauf album is a real grower and would fit the moment but his name probably a bit too high on the bill
-
Tropical Fuck Storm over for Green Man then, be surprised if they dont appear in the next announcement
-
I'm liking 'Just Mustard'....shoegazey, big dollop of Slowdive, bits of MBV, Spacemen3 . Shite name mind

Really excellent line-up. Truly something for everyone there.
Interested in people’s thoughts on Pinegrove playing. I guess it means Simon is convinced enough that Evan deserves another chance. What do others think?
(Actually really like the new album from a musical point of view)
Why what has he done? Haven't followed them at all but thought they were great in the Tipi last time. Is Evan the singer? Seemed a nice chap

They're clearly plugging Pixies as the major draw on the bill, no way they're playing Thursday.
I think they will.
The Shins, Slowdive, Yo La Tengo, Spiritualized...
Pixies definitely fit the formula...
-
Surely be Pixies on the Thursday
-
Real Estate, bright eyes, destroyer would all be welcome returns
Tindersticks haven't played for a while have they? Garden subs again?
No idea on the headliners although Angel would seem an obvious pick if they can get her.
A few I'd love to see...
Tropical Fuck Storm
Withered Hand
Spike Fuck

Yeah, they got a decent crowd considering how early they were on - thought they went down pretty well. I loved it. They also apparently played a secret set at the piano stage which I annoyingly missed...
Probably my favourite album of this year
Was mine too for most of the year... Although some decent competition released last few months... Murder capital, Blanck Mass, Purple Mountains etc.

3rd time for me, and loved it as usual! Weather was good, atmosphere was great on the whole, and the beer and food was excellent (the pasta and dosa places were my joint favourites).
Highlights
Ohtis
How did Ohtis go down? Decent crowd?
Missed EOTR this year but just seen Ohtis in the back room of a pub in Manchester in front of literally 23 people. They were great but felt bad for em man, fucking love the album, deserved a big audience.

Aye camping space is never a problem. Loads arrive on friday morning usually.
There's nothing quite like sipping a coffee outside ya tent and nursing the first gentle hangover of the weekend, watching the latecomers haul their stuff up the hill on a sunny eotr friday morning. All that great music to come.
Noy going this year and absolutely gutted tbh ?

Black Country, New Road are unmissable imo

Low are made for the Garden though! Couldn't imagine them playing any other stage.
Sunday night Garden headliners would be a nice slot for em I guess...but I could see Double Negative working in the big top
-
Low would really suit a late night Big Top set tbf...I'd rather see that than them repeat the Garden I think.
Agree with Sean, Beak> were superb last time but just repeating the slot doesn't really do it for me...same with Oh Sees playing the garden two years running last year really...

Loads of stuff I like of the bands I know...can't see me not going now really.
Time to start exploring the undercard I guess
-
Damn I was planning to skip a year but I've been waiting for Spiritualized forever.

First attempt at one of these so don't crucify me lads. Not even going to attempt predicting the tipi this far ahead. It's severely lacking on folk based acts but I'm not as well versed in that stuff. Probably made it a bit too strong but here goes...

Garden: Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks, Bonnie Prince Billy, Let's Eat Grandma, Bill Ryder Jones, Xlyorious White,

Hopefully it's just a vocal minority and the festival isn't gonna be overrun with bedwetters.
Ludicrous levels of fear here
