  1. great line up for my money. Not fussed about Khruangbin admittedly but I reckon I'll give em a go and wasn't madly bothered about seeing BT again. Murder Capital would have been nice
  2. fleet fucking foxes!!!! get in
  3. Ooh hope so, missed almost all of it last time watching hmm gruff i think
  4. Amen Dunes signed to subpop and released that amazing single with Sleafords.... All gone a bit quiet since but you'd hope there'll be an album to follow... Would love to see him get a late evening garden slot. Loved the big top set but well worthy of a prime spot next time, would blow a lot of people away i think.
  5. Godspeed You! Black Emperor just rearranged their January UK gigs for second half of September...possibly a few weeks too late to put them in the EOTR picture but you never know...
  6. Yip. I don't mind a standard release and perhaps a limited run of one special edition but this kind of thing is pretty absurd and kinda a turn off tbh... https://black-country-new-road.myshopify.com/?utm_source=identity&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=black-country-new-road-pre-12-10-21&src=mk_etblack-country-new-road-pre-12-10-21
  7. Yup. Bummer the vinyl been delayed again tho. Speaking of vinyl.... Seen the marketing for the new Black Country, New Road LP?... A cool £94 for the deluxe bundle...nearly choked on me matcha shot. Fuck that.
  8. Been hoping to see Tropical Fuck Storm appear on an EOTR line up for a while now... Now he's teamed up with Jim White for his latest venture hopefully becomes a bit more likely for next year. A TFS set, a Springtime set and Gareth doing an acoustic piano stage set would do me just fine.
  9. Do we know what night pixies are headlining yet?
  10. SFAs mote likely to do green man 20th anniversary eh
  11. Saw SVE on her last tour and it was tres dull so hopefully not her. Sea Power still begins with a B for me so discount them. Any of the other 3 would do me
  12. Saint Etienne to continue the Shins, Slowdive, Spiritualized, Stereolab run of nostalgic Thursday headliners beginning with S? New album is pretty dreamy...
  13. Yeah Teleman were really poor on the night, night and day from their Thursday night set the other year
  14. On his own. Laptop just kept cutting out completely on him mid flow. Was pretty much a disaster. He managed to get through "i need to keep you in my life" and it sounded fantastic tbf. Hardly anyone left from what i saw... I felt awful sneaking out myself tbh but the heat was killing me.
  15. Had an amazing festival once again. Weather was unbelievable obviously. Thought the loos were gonna be a nightmare when they were already in ruins by the end of Thursday night...but they seemed to up their game and wasn't really a problem after that as long as you had your own loo roll stash. Showers could have been a bit smaller i was feeling a bit lost in those huge airy cubicles. Loads of great music... The Comet is Coming blew me away, Arab Strap were sensational, Sleaford did a grand job on that big ol stage. Modern Nature was a beautiful vibe. Did William Doyle manage to sort his gremlins out... Was too hot in there for me to stick that out but really felt for him... The couple of tracks he managed to get through before i left sounded great tbf
  16. Oof mentioned having trouble getting contractors for toilets etc... Hope they can keep up the high standards if andyloos ain't there
  17. Yep sounds nice. Studio electrophonique would have seemed a perfect fit for a sunny garden opener tbh
  18. Yeah those first couple of sets in the Garden each day are generally my favourite part of the festival.. Doesn't look much to go at this time Edit: actually Anna B Savage first up on Sunday will probably hit the spot
  19. Not thrilled with those splits got to be honest Fair enough it's the weakest line up for years cos of covid but sticking all the hottest acts on the sunday, when lots of people are taking it steady for the drive home at that, Well, ain't ideal is it.
  20. Fucking hell mate, a bit of perspective surely. Perhaps you don't want to hear that but it's a funny kind of risk assessment where you only want to hear from folk too frightened to go. You worked from home the entire pandemic by any chance? Of course there's always a risk... But if you're under 70, in reasonable health and double jabbed it's so tiny as not to be worth worrying about. Unless you're gonna worry about a million other tiny everyday risks aswell.
  21. Blanck mass is a bit of a wounder, wonder what's up with him? Was hoping for Cave aswell like every year tbh Still plenty to go at though
  22. Well it's mutual incomprehension I'm afraid. The perspective is really quite simple, this isn't the black death. Average age of covid death is still 82. Anyone who wants to be will be fully vaccinated. Sweaty paper masks pulled out of grubby festival pockets ain't gonna make a difference.
  23. Testing at the doors would have me cancelling. A 5 hour drive to put myself at the mercy of a hokey Lateral Flow Test... No ta
  24. Oh of course, couldn't give a fiddlers fart if if someone feels the need. Folk were talking mandated mask wearing tho
