  1. Another year I can happily miss. Disappointing 😞
  2. Fingers crossed for a cheap ticket nearer the time for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and then leave nice and early 😄
  3. Block 417, row T for us on the Tuesday *insert mic drop gif here* 😄
  4. Oh, just remembered we paid £125 each for 3rd row Pet Shop Boys tickets last year. Very much a one off though as making up for being right at the back of the Royal Opera House a previous time we saw them.
  5. We got £50 tickets for the Tuesday. A much better price to watch a possible car crash than £300+! I went back in again for another day for fun (as you do) and found out that the seats a row in front of ours were £100 each! The pricing really is mad for this one.
  6. I think about £100/£110 for the Royal Albert Hall gigs for The Cure and decent seats for Hans Zimmer. There are not many I would pay that much for.
  7. A bit of a mixture but going through my phone I get... Rockaway Beach festival Let’s Eat Grandma Jane Weaver Damon Albarn Tori Amos Hans Zimmer Bodega Supergrass Gaz Coombes Goldfrapp Dream Wife Confidence Man Pet Shop Boys The Smile Lorde Glastonbury festival Guns N’ Roses Pearl Jam Standon Calling festival DIIV Bananarama Christina Aguilera Salty Dog all-dayer Taylor Hawkins tribute gig Just Mustard Lonely the Brave Big Moon Sound of 007 Chk Chk Chk ABBA Voyage Let’s Eat Grandma October Drift PVA Skid Row Crows A Love Parasite all-dayer Working Mens Club The Cure x 3 Not too bad 🙂
  8. Wet Leg - Confidence Man - Wolf Alice - Sigrid - Phoebe Bridgers - St Vincent - Sugababes - Foals was quite the Friday, the rest is a bit of a blur other than Orla Gartland on the Sunday followed by the Pet Shop Boys when we met up with pretty much everyone we knew there for them which was excellent.
  9. Mostly disappointing considering all of the bands touring around June and July with a few gems. Fingers crossed the next release adds something better.
  10. I saw Scalping and Working Men's Club in Cambridge too last night. Ears are still very much ringing as proper loud at parts! Both very good (although I think Scalping won last night) despite WMC basically banging through the set without a break and wondering off without saying a word all night.
  11. I do find it funny that Confidence Man have exploded in the last few months off the back of one Glastonbury set when they have been doing the same sort of stuff for years. Even the Cambridge gig in May was only about 2/3 full if that and now they are selling out everywhere. Same with Self Esteem. The power of Glastonbury and iplayer!

    Blur

and nearly didn't make it due to travel issues.
  13. I wouldn't have thought many 18 years olds would get their drugs tested at a festival even if it was possible to do so. I'm fairly sure I wouldn't have done at the time.

    Blur

They can play Cambridge then instead which makes it far easier for me to get to 😄 To be fair, Gorillaz did a warm up gig here once so you never know.

    Blur

They did Margate Winter Gardens last time and it was excellent 🙂 Would love it if they did that again.

    Blur

Well that makes the decision easier. Fingers crossed for warm up gigs again 🙂

    2023 legend slot

    I heard it wasn't him. 😏
  18. That's gone up a bit! We paid £29.50 a ticket in September! I must admit I was slightly disappointed that was the headliner but then remembered I quite enjoyed the bit I saw from Glastonbury (after missing her there) on the telly, so one to delve in to listening to a bit more before next year.
  19. Nothing too specific. Just a link to a playlist that includes some playing this year... First, take a listen to our brand new Feel Good Playlist and see if you can spot any 2023 artists. They'll be hiding alongside acts from years gone by and just some of our favourites here at SCHQ...
  20. Sam Ryder played this year didn't he? Doubt he'd be back so soon (assuming it's the playlist hint email) REALLY want the Yeah Yeah Yeahs from that playlist!
  21. Only 3 out of a group of 45 got tickets! Worst one yet by far.

    Taylor swift

Ahh nuts! She plays Florida the weekend after we come home from Florida. Hurumpf!
  23. Standon Calling have an announcement this week as well and Jarvis has been there many a time too *crosses fingers as already has tickets*
  24. Thank for posting this. As the trains are probably scuppered due to strikes on the 3rd November meaning I probably can't get to IST IST in London, I can now go to Skid Row in Cambridge instead, so thanks for reminding me 👍🙂
  25. £735 for 2 people in a car before paying for petrol and anything else is, well, hmm 😲
