Anyone see how much standing tickets were for London? They were all sold out by the time I got through this morning

£70+fees iirc. Think it was nearer £80-£85 once they were included as was thinking the fee % was taking the pee a bit 🙂

Has anyone been to one of the Liam Gallagher and John Squire gigs?

Looking at setlist fm they only played the album and a cover of Jumping Jack Flash - 50 minutes. Seems a bit of a p**s take when from memory they were charging close to £90.

Pretty much what they said they would do and pretty much what people were saying about the price when they were announced.

Matt Healey is an Alumni of ACM (Academy of Contemporary Music) in Guilford

Plenty of other successful musicians have passed through there such as Ed Sheeran, Newton Faulkner, members of The Shires, Clean Bandit, Rudimental, Mumford & Sons, The Sugarbabes

So basically we would all be better off without it  *runs away* 😁

edit - ok, Sugarbabes are ok and have kept many people in employment over the years 😁

Just thinking. Were The Jesus And Mary Chain the Thursday headliner instead of Sleaford Mods, the disappointment would be less even though the line-up is the same. No?

A little as at least there would be someone else on when Sleaford Mods were playing.

Looks like Ticketmaster are the only site with Standing left....and they've def bumped the price.

    Thieves.

Yeah, saw someone else on twitter saying they got tickets and the price on their confirmation from Ticketmaster was £345ish for the front! F*cking hate ticketmaster for that (which i why I never use them if I can help it, and got mine via gigsandtours.com)

It's all looking a bit quiet at the moment. I currently just have:

    Gaz Coombes
    Mew
    New Model Army
    Lynks
    Foo Fighters
    Green Man Festival
    Taylor Swift
    They Might Be Giants

as trying not to buy quite as many tickets on a whim and then cancelling so am leaving them all a bit more last minute if I can. I do also have quite a few comedy nights booked though 😄

Now with added AC/DC and Sam Morton both bought today....on a whim. FML 😆

f**k that. Pretty sure I paid less than that for Hyde Park '22, and saw TWO shows.

Yep, as I checked my emails when someone else mentioned it on facebook. £70+fees for the front section via Ten Club and you got a day of bands too.

  9. Hallelujah by pretty much anybody. It's been done to death so pick another song. Actually don't as most are rubbish and that goes to anyone wanting to do a heartfelt slower acoustic version of a song for an advert (I'm now looking at you person who did the Aerosmith 'Dream On' cover for the advert that is currently on every fudging advert break! 😁 )

I can certainly see the appeal of those two perks, but you didn't feel it lost something in terms of the crowd?

There are many posters here who like to go to a festival and get forward of the soundstage for atmosphere and the view.

Oh I get that, and usually do. To be fair we were mostly stood singing along with the others there too. I didn't really miss being sardined together for 4 hours just to get a good spot and having to fight my way in and out if wanting a beer or the toilet 😃

  11. Saw Depeche Mode (for the first time in 31 years! Shhh!) at the O2 from the Ladbrookes Live suite after winning tickets and they were flipping great and the crowd were very much up for it. Saying that, they were utterly motionless for Nadine Shah supporting who was also good I thought. It's a shame I can't use a suite everytime we go to the O2 as being able to order drinks delivered to your seat so you don't miss anything and the toilets being 30 seconds away was rather excellent 😃
