Had a go at some MSE predictions:

    Blink-182 / A Day To Remember / Ashnikko / Spiritbox / Neck Deep / Nova Twins / Cassyette

Fred again.. / Raye / The Wombats / girl in red / Chloe Moriondo / Alfie Templeman / The Murder Capital

Liam Gallagher / Two Door Cinema Club / IDLES / Amyl & The Sniffers / The Reytons / Kid Kapichi / The Ks

I would definitely buy a weekend ticket for this

Syndicates have been buying tickets since he early 2000s, so I’m not sure why you’re getting your knickers in a twist about it now. Maybe get more friends if it bothers you so much.

People manipulating See’s website has been happening since 2012. And you’ve got absolutely no evidence of how many tickets were purchased this way this year. It’s almost certainly much less than you think.

neither justify being a twat and jibbing in for free. And frankly, the less bitter twats we have in, the better it will be for the rest of us there.

    1) More friends?! I have had success every year since I started in 2010 with no need to ask hundreds of people to help me. There are literally syndicates on here of 100s of people who don't know each other, and this is being encouraged in the media.  It won't be long before someone gets ripped off.   If you cannot see this is only making the system a lottery then you are blinded.
    2) I don't know the numbers, however I know it happened and will continue to get worse.
    3) I have never said people should try and get in for free, there are far to many liggers and people in the festival.

Agh, that answers my query, in that there are IT savvy people who send in bots, I should have known that there would be, I guess. Just hadn't heard about that kind of angle for many a year.

Sadly it seems to be getting worse with the demand.

I didn't get a ticket this time, though i would be strongly against a lottery system

    Loads of people bought tickets.

By lots of people, you mean syndicates, bots and people manipulating See tickets website?

The people trying in groups of 1-6 are left with scraps and a very low probability of success.

Basically it has become a lottery system by the nature of people in massive syndicates.

Makes all the sense in the world.

Agreed, as soon as he was announced for Trnsmt, it made him very likely for this.

Loads of young people wanting to see him as they have never seen Oasis, especially if he is playing loads of material from Definitely Maybe.

Off sale midday tomorrow, so I’m guessing Lineup announced Friday. It’s generally the day after early birds finish. No point leaving no tickets up for sale longer than a day.

I would agree. I thought i had retired from attending Leeds, however it looks like I'm coming out of retirement!

    If it’s two Main Stages:

Fred again.. x Catfish & The Bottlemen

    Blink-182 x Machine Gun Kelly

    Liam Gallagher x The Prodigy

If its back to one, heads and subs:

Fred again.. / Two Door Cinema Club

    Blink-182 / YUNGBLUD

Liam Gallagher / The Prodigy (special guests)

Liam Gallagher after Prodigy could be like when Arctic Monkeys played after Prodigy in 2009.....

Given that they've all paid for a ticket then 'No' is your answer.

Fair point, though I'm sure some people who are considering doing this are people who would happily pay to get in, though are frustrated at some of the things they have read and seen happen on Sunday.

I wasn't successful for the first time since 2010 myself, though wouldn't try to get in for free, I'm just hoping it's more a level playing field in April.

The information from the festival is that you make your way to the hospitality ticket exchange in the hospitality car park adjacent to the wicket gate. Photo ID will be checked and ticket exchanged for a wristband that will allow access in and out of the festival site and hospitality areas. The photo ID, eg passport has to match the name on the ticket and is strictly non transferable.

I walked past this on the Thursday afternoon (about 4pm) and there was a very long queue for the exchange!

  10. My daughter got on on the booking page, however it said does not recognise her details.

She re-registered in August, however looks like it did not complete or has been lost

First time we have missed out since we started attending in 2010. We had a good run, I hope others have a good time.

Saw the Prodigy at AO Arena in Manchester last night. My first time at that venue, found it pretty soulless, like most arenas. 42nd time seeing the band. After seeing them a few times since his passing, I've come to the conclusion that they do miss Keef, but the show is still as ferocious as ever. I'm not quite sure Maxim fully carries them but of course they give it everything, as they always have. They've upped the production values a fair bit and gone a bit nuts with the lasers and they've ramped up the Flinty tribute midway through. My only slight disappointment is them not switching up the setlist at all. Pretty much the same one since the return shows from last summer.

I agree with your points though I really enjoyed it and everyone I saw was throwing shapes.

I've seen them about 20 times and this was much better than last time I saw them at the Manchester Apollo in 2017 when I thought they lacked e energy.

I think they would put on a great performance on the Other Stage?

Reckon the 1xtra may go now too, it’s original purpose was to help boost that type of music by giving it a platform, in which it has thoroughly succeeded

The equivalent today would be to give young, heavy guitar bands a platform. Perhaps they could call it ‘The pit’

Spot on, the 1 Xtra stuff is now main stage material. Could easily have a rock and indie tent and keep many people happy.

Bands like Turnstile, Murder Capital, Wunderhorse, Cassyette, Cancer Bars, Bronx

That's a reflection of the clientele of this forum.

Agreed, which means the festival is missing out on this type of clientele attending.

A few people above have said that the festival has always attracted a younger audience which is true, however people 21 years and upwards do not seem to be attending and this has gradually reduced over the past 10 years with changes to the line up and stage choice.

It was obvious the direction the festival was going into when they introduced the Radio One Xtra Stage which the youth were most interested in.

I would probably have still attended this year if the NME tent and the Lock Up / Pit had provided a viable alternative to the Main Stages which I had little interest in as a 49 year old.

  14. It shows how this festival has distanced itself from the punters who post on here as it's really quiet post festival.

There are usually lots of messages about which bands were good, experiences from the weekend. Apart from one or two messages it's really quiet.
