  1. By taking the wrappers off? From chocolate bars in a charity shop? 🤯
  2. Please don't give him any grief. The only important thing to remember is that whoever got you any ticket that year is brilliant. I've been going for aeons and have arrived on many different days, but you'll see a great many of the regular posters here would bite your hand off to arrive Wednesday rather than Thursday - if you're setting up camp, getting bearings, having a wander and a drink. It's all great 😊
  3. More Coachella bait... "Why wild horses couldn’t drag me back to Coachella" https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/features/coachella-hate-festival-culture-toxic-b2527270.html
  4. We used to sing that at Primary School, and I'm gert old. He's 79 bless him.
  5. Good detective work by you and @Gnomicide
  6. "Coachella 2024: music A-listers hit the desert after a struggle to sell tickets" https://amp.theguardian.com/music/2024/apr/12/coachella-ticket-sales-down
  7. Well found👍 So that looks like inside initial wrapper I think, rather than in the foil?
  8. Yes I've seen some with fishing trolleys that looked well capable, also that one of @dondo's looks very deluxe 😊
  9. My recollection of smaller hard tyres and pulling trolleys in years with any wet mud was grim. Pretty much dragging it anywhere that didn't have a track. The thought leaves me distinctly flaccid, but then I am old.

Same, I was always outside the circle of trust
  11. Puncture? Crikey what were you carrying, a hod of bricks?
  12. Another gem from private eye
  13. I think there was a video of someone finding a ticket last year?
  14. Meeting them in the bar is an incredible thing to happen
  15. Think that's not much more than over Bath tbh, so considering transport costs of the balloon and kit that's pretty competitive.
  16. Solid tyres? Schoolboy error
  17. I've no clue I'm afraid, but always nice in Latino
  18. Mine was the latter experience, great looking place but the focus was clearly not on making nice cocktails. By comparison the ones in Latino they didn't do anything clever - had a finite selection pre-mixed, so they could serve a big queue quickly and they were delicious
  19. Must make roll call difficult at band meetings.
  20. Is Bob a he, I'd seen a few vids and assumed a they
  21. That sounds far more dignified than anything I could ever accomplish
  22. Yeah, given that you didn't even let those challenges beat you, you've certainly given it your all 😊 I think there are only a small number of regs who outnumber us both.
  23. There are certainly a number of the reforms which were necessary, what I was pushing back against was the Thatcher-lite "because unions are still f**king with people's lives, and the people don't like to be f**ked with" codswallop.
  24. Aye, you don't have to look far to find some tedious locals online criticising the name change or things they didn't like about visiting, but the events I've been to have been great - venue has a much better layout, splendid acoustics, great view, and helpful staff who knew what they were doing. The prices for tickets even seemed fair.
