  1. The VIP is an absolute blessing, absolutely love it. . My wife has a chronic illness she only got diagnosed 3 years ago in her mid 30's, before that we did Glasto every year but she cant handle the walking now. If it wasnt for the VIP, especially getting a picnic bench for our group, the Saturday would have been a right off as my wife forgot to take her beater blockers the night before, so being able to chill for a few hours and still enjoy the festival until she was right was great for our group. Plus I think I queued for 2 ciders there all weekend, straight to the bar the rest of the time.
  2. I'll give that a look, cheers buddy
  3. Someone on here kindly sent me a bootleg cd of the gig quite a few years afterwards, I couldn’t believe how good it sounded. Townsends guitar sounded like it could topple buildings that night
  4. Started so well with the silhouette of him during Rebel Rebel, but throwing in quicksand and doing those remixes really drained the life out of me by the time he got to ziggy stardust The Who the night before is still the greatest thing I’ve ever seen
  5. I’m hoping for Pulp and Paolo Nutini for two of the headliners. Love to see Little Simz return if she’s still touring, plus Jamie T. My wish list for next year isn’t that big tbh, if there’s no one I want to watch for a bit I love getting a bench in the VIP for a few hours
  6. Put sentimentality to one side, as much as I love Pulp which Uk festivals would realistically book them to headline. You’ve got IOW, Latitude and then the slightly smaller ones like Tramlines etc so it’s not that far of a stretch. They don’t fit R&L demographic for headliners anymore and Glasto won’t give them top slot. I was thinking today who I’d like to see headline next year. Pulp, Paolo Nutini, plus another with Jamie T somewhere on the bill was as far as I got tbh, my heads still a bit puzzled from the weekends festivities 🤣
  7. Saw Kelis at Tramlines yesterday, unbelievably good, great voice and pacing to the set. At one point she remixed gravel pit with milkshake which then went into never mind teen spirit/bounce without a break between songs, incredible stuff
  8. I was there, bit shit wasn’t it
  9. Unless Fender already has the third album in the bag the touring for this album is pretty much done and dusted after this year
  10. On the train back to Hull. Highlights were James on Friday, Vaccines/Kasabian Saturday and Kelis on Sunday. The Vaccines have become such a great live band and I’d put Serge as a better front man than Tom, he was brilliant. Kelis’ remixing Gravel Pit into Milkshake and then smells like teen spirit into Bounce without a break was incredible, and that girl can fucking sing and move ! Already booked a farmhouse apartment 10 minutes from the park for next year so hope they don’t move it from there. For the most part everyone was nice and friendly, a group of young kids were trying to rush the VIP entrance with no wristbands before Kasabian and walking to VIP on the Saturday night a young lad in his 20’s I think was showing off to his mates and elbowed my mate and when he spilled his own drink called my mate a dickhead and they all started laughing. They melted and shat their pants when we both turned round though. “We was only joking” to which my mate replied “you don’t call people you don’t know dickheads for a joke” , and then jabbed the lad with one finger quite hard in his belly button, it was all a bit strange as even though I look Edward Norton in American History X I’m not one for trouble at all

    Kendrick Lamar

Have you seen the tour footage with his ventriloquist puppet and then rapping to the empty chair during Father Time, I think he’s really trying to push the boundaries of what a hip hop show can be, it looks truly stunning and I can’t wait for November as I couldn’t maie glasto this year

    Kendrick Lamar

The footage I’ve seen from the tour looks incredible though even if it is heavily leaning towards mr morale, looks like a real piece of performance art and totally different to the Glastonbury set up. Im off to the Birmingham gig and instead of treating it like a boozy let’s get wrecked kinda gig I’m going to try and take in the actual show aspect of it
  13. Harrys House was the fastest selling album in the Uk this year. As It Was was at number one for well over ten weeks and Im sure he had 3 songs in the top 10 at one point. As for worldwide, he smashed vinyl sales records in the US, it went number 1 in pretty much every major country, and in Australia all 13 tracks were in the top 15 at the same time. I'm not sure how much more of a smash you wanted the album to be. If the nexts albums as big as the last two he'll def be in the discussion to headline, they want worldwide megastars to headline now and he's in that bracket.
  14. No, unfortunately not due to my wifes chronic health issue.
  15. You think Harry Styles wont headline but Oasis will ?. Harry Styles will probably headline off the back of his next album. Olivia Rodrigo ? I think Jessie J has got more chance of headlining.
  16. I just think FM and Madonna are too greedy when it comes to money to play for what the festival would pay them.
  17. Id love to see Little Simz headline. Think she's on the cusp of being an absolute megastar if the next album smashes it.
  18. I just think she's got enough new material to do it again and absolutely nail it again. I actually think she could be in the running for next year if Taylor isn't booked. If not do you think she could do the legends slot one year.
  19. I think album 3 has to be full of bangers, as the guest stuff shes done with Megan and Calvin Harris has been horrific.
  20. Shit, don't know how I forgot Sam Fender. I'd just love Glasto to go back to the roots of giving UK bands a crack at the big one, like they used to , that's why I put Wolf Alice and Foals in there. Both bands absolutely love and have history with the festival, so why not one year have them and then two absolute worldwide megastars, I dont see the harm in it. I honestly think Wolf Alice will do it off the back of album 4 or 5.
  21. So who do you guys realistically think we have as future 1st time and repeat headliners going forward if the festival continues for years to come. 1st time Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Foals, Wolf Alice, Lady Gaga, The 1975, The Weeknd Repeat Beyonce, Kendrick, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Rolling Stones, Radiohead, Stormzy, Billie Eilish, Florence
  22. So which songs are people gagging to hear ? Mine..... Sam Fender - Will We Talk James - Tomorrow/Laid - if they play them Becky Hill - Crazy What Love Can Do Vaccines - Wetsuit Kasabian - Treat Elvana - Breed Cant wait to see Russel Kane as well.
  23. I'd never be drunk enough to eat at those shit in a tray burger vans where the burgers and hotdogs have been out all day
  24. There's still some foooking dodgy looking food vendors at festivals though mate.
  25. Its on the website and they've put up links to the food vendors instagrams, the burger place looks good !!
