  1. All good shouts. You think Example could be on the main stage ?
  2. Who are we thinking could be high up on T'Other stage ? I think Raye might be in with a shout of headliner/sub one of the days, similar placing to Kelis or Little Simz the last two years.
  3. Do you think they'd potentially have Jamie T and Blossoms headline in the same year, its 2 out of 3 that aren't established headliners. This year had a prefect mix of a new headline in Fender, established headliner in Kasabian, and a heritage band in Madness.
  4. Could we get Little Simz on the main stage after the Boardmasters announcement ?
  5. Has anyone guessed the one headliner correct yet ?
  6. Same. Capaldi should go into radio presenting as he's a naturally funny guy, his music however is absolute toss
  7. I think Jamie T will headline. Not been announced for anything yet and he's playing Finsbury Park end of June, similar to Sam Fender this year. Perfect sized festival for him to headline as well.
  8. I went 2003-2008 when I was in my early 20's. The Sunday of 2008 was the worst id ever seen, I went back camping in 2011 in tangerine fields and the festival had put safety measures in place to try to minimize the crazy sunday behavior and it seemed to work. I've never been camping since but have done 1-2 days in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, getting the shuttle bus in and staying in a hotel and its the only way I would do it now. I took my kids in 2019 on the sunday to see Billie Eilish and Twenty One Pilots and it was one of the friendliest Leeds crowds I've ever been in. I think this year could have been a combination of things on the last night. Hot weather all weekend, high prices for booze, the 1st one after the pandemic with zero restrictions, and the woodstock 99 documentary, all creating this storm where people went wild. Id expect people to be much calmer next year. I had friends who camped at Leeds all weekend and they had a great time. I'm 40 so will never camp at Leeds again, however Id def do a day next year if Kendrick got announced, saw him headline in 2018 and again the vibe in the crowd was fantastic.

I forgot it was in the encore at Trnsmt 18, absolutely blew my head off when they played it, one of the loudest crowds I've ever been in as well, that set was an all timer for me.

They opened most nights with Four Out of Five or Star Treatment on the Tranquility Base tour, if your gonna be bitter about AM at least be factual. It was only towards the end of the 2019 tour they went back to Do I Wanna Know.

Its a prefect setlist for a festival imo. I remember seeing Green Day headline Leeds fest in 2004, they'd just released American Idiot as a single so we all thought the set would be heavy on the new album and songs we didn't know, they played American Idiot and then it was a greatest hits set, it was fantastic. Imagine being at Leeds, you've been on it for days and then AM close the festival with a set where you know every song word for word, sounds class.
  12. Do we think someone like Maggie Rogers could headline T'Other Stage one night, I'm obsessed with her new album.
  13. My first Glasto and I was watching from back of the field. Glasto legend is that it was Jarvis Cocker in the van, and he drove across the field to a karaoke tent and sang Saturday night by Wigfield.
  14. The Vaccines were unbelievably good this year, amazed at what a live band they've become having not seen them since 2015.
  15. I've started going to gigs by national express now. I've got to go from Hull to Birmingham in November to see Kendrick Lamar, £73 return by train or £29 by National Express, National Express takes 4 hours with a break, your guaranteed a seat with usb port and little table, so just chill for a few hours with a book or a downloaded film.
  16. We was talking about Post Malone buddy. I cant get my head around Drakes appeal but he's definitely a headliner
  17. You’ve answered it yourself buddy, he’s not critically acclaimed. I actually think he’d make a great other stage headliner but no way would he top the pyramid after Jay z, Kanye, Stormzy, and Kendrick, they’ve set a standard now with hip hop/rap/grime headliners and posty isn’t in the same league. I like my live hip hop and I saw him headline Leeds 2019, took the kids to see Billie Eilish and Twenty One Pilots, he was great for the first 4-5 songs but we left after that, just didn’t do enough to hold our attention , but bang him on the other stage and he’d pull a decent crowd
  18. Cant ever see Posty headlining Glasto, and I like some of his stuff. On the other hand I dont get all the fuss about Drake, piss poor rapper and singer IMO.
  19. My brother found a turd in a crisp packet outside his tent in 2004, that place was indeed mental from 2003-2008, much prefer festivals as they are now tbh.
  20. 2005 was when Foo's headlined on the Sunday. 2003 was Metallica, Linkin Park and Blur.
  21. I've did two days in 2016 getting the shuttle bus in each day and it was great.
  22. I kind of know what you mean. I cant wait until I see IDLES live for the first time, my brother saw them at Glasto this year and said it was so intense !! My first Leeds was 2003 when SOAD played with no secondary barrier, that was crazy, as was Marilyn Manson in 2005.
  23. We had a big group that went to Leeds Fest from 2005-2008. I remember in 2008 the campsite looking like a warzone on the Sunday night/Monday morning. Huge fires and canister explosions everywhere, we all sort of knew leaving that was the last one for us as a group. I went back camping with just my partner in 2011 and the set up felt dated and worn out, I've been a few times with day tickets, getting the shuttle bus in from 2015-2019 and have loved treating it as just a gig with no camping and how different it felt to 2011. Took the kids in 2019 to see Billie Eilish and Twenty One Pilots and they loved it.
  24. Watched the first part and half of the 2nd last night. Just shows how wild people where at times back then without social media, smartphones, etc. The festival didnt even have a litter picking team so went the punters walked in for day 2 and were walking through filth that's when the shit started to hit the fan, the footage of them hurling bottles at Wyclef is insane. As one of the people who worked there said "if you dont look after the festival goers why should they look after you"
  25. Totally agree, I felt suicidal by the end of his 2009 Glastonbury set, wish I'd have just fucked off by myself for a bit , as none of my group wanted to move after Madness.
