    2024 Headliners

Radio 1 Dj's over the weekend kept going on about how Gaga is now in contention to headline.
  2. Catfish were brilliant headlining Trnsmt in 2019, so loud and full of energy. Where has the rumour of the return with a new lineup come from ?
  3. Im no musical snob so will give anything a listen and judge it from there. O Rodrigo's new album is fantastic and she'd absolutely smash a headline set if she can make the songs sound as massive live as they are on the album.
  4. Have you watched his boiler room set on youtube, its amazing. If R&L get Fred Again, Paramore or QOTSA I'll be going next year.
  5. If Fred Again headlines a night I’ll be at my first Leeds since 2019
  6. That was the problem I had with him at Tramlines last year. Has some belters on his albums that he doesnt play live like "Aye" and "The Leveller", but loves playing "The Borders" and "Mantra". I found the middle part of his set at Tramlines really dull.
  7. Could the return headliner be Kendrick or has MB confirmed it is a band ?
  8. They subbed MSE of the back of Blue Weekend and headlined Latitude. If the album is big I could see MB bumping them up to MSE headliner. In terms of the returning headliner, its gotta be Paramore or QOTSA hasn't it, Blink are w*nk live, Toms voice is shot to pieces.
  9. Wolf alice are headlining outright on the next album, they wont be playing tents.
  10. VIP was drastically downsized this year, about half the size of what it usually is.
  11. On Saturday Getting from the right hand side of stage near the stalls/vip along the back for the people in our group with mobility issues was impossible, way too slippy and not worth chancing an injury to either of them. Our group has loved our three years going to tramlines but we’ve already provisionally booked accommodation for neighborhood weekender next year, I always love that buzz of trying a new festival, had friends go this year and it looked great
  12. The lack of re-entry really added to the bad conditions underfoot as well. We had two people in our group with medical conditions who just couldn’t handle it on the Saturday so we bailed after blossoms as we just couldn’t get over to the left hand side of the stage where conditions looked better underfoot. Sunday was a bit better with the extra work they’d done around the main stage. If people could come in and out they could have seen bands as and when they wanted, especially those living local or in hotels /apartments near the park, wouldn’t have churned the park up as much
  13. It really is. Im not particularly a fan of Blossoms or Kaisers but I know enough songs to have a good time at both this weekend.
  14. Im 41 now and I've pretty much seen everyone I want to see. As I've got older and especially after covid/lockdowns I'm just happy to see live music. My days of being too fussy about who I see as long as I see a few bands I really like across a festival weekend are long gone. Plus im on a bit of a mission now to see people I've never seen before, as some can be pleasently surprising. Saw Kelis and Becky Hill last year, I'd def have gone to see Kelis as Im a fan and she was brilliant, but Becky Hill was the wifes choice over Madness and she was really good fun.
  15. Id go Bloc Party, they rarely have an off day playing live, whereas Ashcroft can be really hit and miss.
  16. Ashcroft was unbelievably underwhelming last time I saw him, Trnsmt 2019, cant remember a single stand out moment from the full set. My best bud is adamant he's off to see Ashcroft tomorrow.......have fun by yourself pal whilst the rest of us are at Bloc Party.
  17. Zutons - Sugababes - Reverend - Kaisers - Ella Henderson. Wouldnt say im massive fans of any of them but as a day of music goes its not the worst I've ever had at a festival.
  18. Sugababes moved to main stage on Sunday. Sensible move as they've been pulling some massive crowds at the festivals they've played.
  19. Both have got loads of hits that everyone will know and both are still brilliant live by all accounts.
  20. Annie Lennox Billy Joel Bryan Adams Sting
  21. We're off to see Ella Henderson instead of Kaisers. My wife likes her , we went to see Becky Hill in the tent last year, and the dance bangers were a nice change of pace from the bands we'd seen all weekend.
  22. That's good to know. I know my daughter would also hate it if she felt like she was penned in. Although I cant see anyone else pulling a crowd like Eltons in the next few years.
  23. I've been in big crowds at Glasto before, was at The Stones in 2013, Dolly in 2014. Haven't been since 2017 and I've always liked the back of the pyramid field as even with larger crowds theres always been room to maneuver and have a bit of space, and have a nice stroll to and from the bars and toilets.
  24. I've been 8 times but the pics of Eltons crowd put me off going back, dont know if I could deal with anything like that, especially as my bladder is getting weaker the older I get once I've had a couple of ciders. My daughter wants to go with me in a couple of years once she turns 18 but I think a crowd that scale would terrify her. Plus the bands playing at the same time are playing to hardly anyone as well which is a shame.
