I'd imagine it's Misery Loves Company they're playing as that's announcing today.
Nice to see them actually book something miserable this year, they missed the brief last year.

For any fans of James' podcast (2 Promoters, 1 Pod), they'll be doing a live version on stage at Trees one afternoon. Also likely to do one one morning at ATG.
Excellent

I've seen people talk about picking up cheap tickets to poor selling events before - where would you normally find these? Or is it just Slam Dunk selling them off?
Twickets

They were in Bristol last night weren't they? So very possible given James books and attends gigs in Bristol, even though they've said it's the full line up I still think there's gaps

Not sure if they'll go for them. In the podcast, James said they were offered Mallory Knox in the same episode he was criticising bands for disappearing then reuniting a few years later and expecting more money.
He caught himself before saying he'd booked them and said been offered them.
They've got KIGH so I don't think he wouldn't book them for that reason

Is this all the bands for the fest announced now?
Yeah, officially.
Think we might get one more band after Slam Dunk once the exclusive reunion shows are out the way as Mallory Knox were definitely in talks

I’ve not edited the Clashfinder yet, as it’s not obvious where some of the new acts will slot in really…
I suspect that The K’s will headline The Nest on Friday night…
maybe Soft Play are the sub after all, and Sophie and The Amazons will slot in below them, bumping Sundara Karma down the bill 🤷♂️
Carsick are playing the main stage I know that much

Mae in the mix last night.
Not sure I could pick a perfect TGA setlist. Seen 'em thrice, and ticked off most of my biggies. Still need to hear Divorce / Diner, and Too Much Blood if I can live from the old days.
Oof Too Much Blood would be great.

Add Here Comes My Man and Here's Looking at you kid and it'd be perfect.
Needs Mae. Been obsessed with that song since they opened with it at Brixton years ago and then launched straight into 59 sound

That potential mulligan/los campesinos clash is heart breaking
Wouldn't worry about that one, the forest isn't in any sort of order, we won't know that order til they release the clashfinder.

May have missed this in my scatterbrained mode, but TGA's tour started last night, and the setlist was pretty excellent, if I do say so.
A smattering of goodies from History Books - Michigan, 1975 is among the best ballads they've ever put out - and otherwise exactly what you'd want, for the most part.
Roll on the UK run!
They change their setlist most nights

Yeah Friday is pretty bare bones for me but Thursday is insanely packed and Saturday looking good.

What makes you say that? Last year had Axiom v Main
Because it made more sense last year with Bullet and to a lesser extent Frank not clashing with the heavy stage headliner

I know the clashfinder is pinch of salt but the potential clash of Frank Turner and DFA1979 is a toughie!
Those stages won't clash, it's just using last year's times. This year will be The Cave against Main every night I'd imagine

all that faff they had kicking sex offenders off the line up previously and now they've gone and booked Broco as a headliner wtf
Alleged, always handy to use. Phoxjaw seemingly proved their innocence and sued people who assumed their guilt.

Likelihood of Neck Deep appearing? Sounds like they have lots of plans this year but nothing announced yet
They're playing Reading & Leeds twice
-
Just seen someone on the trees Facebook group post a pic of Marmozets liking their comment saying they should play this year
-
Says we're getting the day split poster so would be odd without the last headliner

The way the festival keeps saying its the lineup SO FAR makes me very curious...
Curious as to what? They just mean there's still acts to announce, I wouldn't read into it too much

Seems very possible the final headliner is Frank Turner.
It's been a few years since he played, and last year i'm certain there was a secret set which pulled out last minute that people speculated was Frank and the festival then confirmed they'll be back to headline next year. In addition to this Frank has a show on the 6th in the UK and then a couple other festivals in Latitude and Y Not.
They didn't confirm they'd headline the next year, they said they'd try and make it work next year.
I think Frank is playing, could very well be headline if it's full band, could very well be a set in the forest as was planned last year if its just him solo
-
It said they were playing the Thursday and that day is already far too stacked so seems like a mistake

Played our lass some Sleep Token and she said it’s Rob from Don Broco behind the mask, that’s me done for the week
If you just listen to Dark Signs I can totally see the point

Sleep Token are Man City/Man Utd/Liverpool or Arsenal of the music world.
Many people fall for it but they aren't music fans. I would imagine they also liked Babymetal, Ghost, Dragonforce over the years
Many other people join in because surely all these people can't be wrong.
Yes, they are. Garbage band.
You're a prat

Have him co headline with the chats and I wouldn’t complain
He would
I reckon he's doing a solo set in the forest as he had one planned last year that got pulled
2000 Trees 2024
in other UK festivals

Yeah I gave them too much credit thinking they'd actually book some emo bands to fit the name of the festival
