  1. I can tell you really live life in fast lane mate. Have you ever done something really wild like jump the queue for the portaloos?
  2. There should be minimal security in the festival once you are past the gate, and certainly none in the campsite. Who cares if a few tents get robbed, if you are thick enough to leave valuables in there then you almost deserve it. It would be much worse if security actively patrolled the campsites, it only take a few rogue, bad apples to gang up and start robbing people of their drugs and money on the pretence of 'drug searches', as tends to happen at festivals like Boomtown. I want to be left well alone by security at festivals, they are the enemy pretty much, anyone calling for more of it in the campsites because they are afraid of fellow festival goers is a being a fanny and they ought to man up a bit.
  3. Probably a couple of 'Bucket List' types, if they weren't they wouldn't have been so foolish. I hope it doesn't taint their imaginary tick beside an imaginary list, a ridiculous term people like to throw around these days because of a corny American film from the noughties.
  4. Virtually everyone would pay the least amount possible, especially those who have a lots of disposable income. I know i would! Everyone is a socialist until they are given a choice to anonymously pay more money or less money.
  5. You are literally bonkers for giving that away. Floor drugs, especially coke, are to be kept no matter what, and if you are feeling generous shared out with a couple of mates.
  6. I've had symptoms, but i haven't tested myself, since i have run out of tests and the government decided to stop giving them out. So if i do/did have it, and i have unwittingly spread it around, then its the government's fault rather than mine. I am hoping however the feeling shit was just a comedown, which is likely true since i had Covid last in January which means my immunity should be strong enough.
  7. Not really. Its not much to ask for people to take some responsibility of their finances and if necessary put away a bit of money when they know full well they have a big bill coming out in the future, like a £245 ticket balance.
  8. Anyone UK based, the Pound to Forint exchange reached its highest today it has been for at least 10 years, a very healthy 477 HUF to the £. I changed up a load of cash on my currency card, so anyone who was thinking of doing so too you might want to do it today or in the next couple of days.
  9. Thanks for posting this, i cant seem to zoom too well. Is a Dreher 0.5 HUF1190?
  10. Someone taking a shite in someone else's tent is rancid, but it would be funny depending on the type of person the victim was.
  11. says the poster who i don't recall making any real contribution to the conversation apart from to throw out insults/obscenities 🤭
  12. Lots of people nick tent pegs matey, no matter their age. No one else is finding your jokes about it funny, you are making yourself look silly, and a little desperate, regurgitating your amusement about tent pegs. And pedantically pointing out failure to capitalise and other punctuation errors on an internet forum is similarly scraping the bottom of the barrel. I'm glad you managed to go back and read what I actually wrote though, but yet you still don't have it in your stubborn self to see that you were in the wrong. Run along now.
  13. You know you really ought to read things properly before going off on rants. I didn't imply i was going to jump the fence, and that's not what i did. I wont apologise for being minted either, its my reward for paying attention at school and learning how to read proficiently, among other things.
  14. No thanks. I have worked festivals before, but find it far too annoying to be expected to go to a lame shift where you just stand around doing sod all for no pay, when i could be getting amongst and having it large. I found many of the people working the festivals, in particular the managers far too straight laced and at worst, plain weird. There may also be a fair chance i am blacklisted from working with some companies, as i have done runners in the past at festivals like The Big Chill and, most recently, Standon Calling. The only time i have ever made an effort to do the shifts was at Boomtown, but even they tried to keep my deposit as i went missing for a few hours when one of my favourite DJ's was playing. Luckily i know people within the Boomtown hierarchy who had words to get it back. I've known people that have worked for CND at Glastonbury in the past that have had very good shifts, a few hours a day, but from what i gather they are heavily oversubscribed.
  15. You're so right actually man, everyone should only ever pack stuff they are definitely going to take into the festival. No changing of minds is ever, ever allowed. Righto 😆. No point me commenting on the rest of your silly rant, you sound like one of these obtuse, immature people who sticks their fingers in their ears and goes 'la la la la' when they hear something they don't like or necessarily agree with. Not a good look.
  16. Im 35 mate, but brilliant joke though. Certainly got me chuckling on a Monday evening!
  17. In terms of the former, you aren't far off the mark. The two that left their camping chairs in the car did so because they had to travel as light as possible in the darkness, with no chance of re-entry. In terms of the latter, im afraid you are very wide of the mark, i earn decent money as do all my mates. I just didnt bother checking the tent before i left knowing full well there would be a healthy supply of tent pegs at the festival anyway.
  18. i see we have a smart alec, but one that doesnt quite understand how an internet forum works. Someone creates a thread about a particular topic and others reply to it with comments related to it. There's no ulterior motive to my relevant contribution to the conversation, if you think otherwise then perhaps you are one with inadequacies to hide.
  19. It wasnt actually me, but i did benefit from it which was good. People dont miss their chairs if the weather is good, as you can just sit on the floor. No harm done IMO.
  20. Its wise to stash it away, but then, if yours gets nicked you can always just go and nick someone else's to make up for it. Part of the circle of things at festivals.
  21. If that was one of my mates, then apologies. Thing is, they only nicked stuff that was left outside of tents, so if people really want to keep hold of stuff, i would advise them to zip it up, not leave it lying around.
  22. I left my tent and quite a few others did around Pennards. They will get tatted though, so im sure it will go to good use. If not, it gets incinerated and the energy fed back into the grid, so its not actually as bad a thing as many like to make out it to be.
  23. Just giving my feedback on thefts that i experienced. I dont really mind admitting i nicked a few tents pegs- who cares? Most of us at the festival are socialists, whats a tent peg or a camping chair between fellow revellers? Lots of it gets left behind on Monday anyway.
  24. A couple of my mates couldnt be arsed to carry their camp chairs from the car, so went around and nicked a few on the Thursday night when most people were out and about. I also standardly didn't have any tent pegs, as the last time i used this tent it was easier to leave the pegs in the hard ground when i left, so i went around nicking some from people camped nearby- it was funny overhearing them wondering where their tent pegs had gone 😆 Apart from that, i didnt see or hear any incidences of theft. We never have any bother, because we are a large group and anyone thinking about robbing our tents can probably easily tell just by looking at us that if they did, they would get one hell of a kicking.
  25. Nice, One of the appeals of Sziget is the cheap booze prices, i remember going to Balaton about 10 years ago and thinking how great it was to get a cold fresh pint whenever you liked without worrying about the cost (it was about £1.50 for a Heineken!). Luckily the Pound seems rather strong against the Forint, unlike the Euro.
