  1. The Nal makes a very good point, it is a trek going in and out but at the same time all your stuff is there. Also, it's handy to be able to fill the car for all weather eventualities. To be honest, either option is good and really depends on what you want to do. With Rosslare, we take Tuesday off and we also head down Monday evening and stay overnight near the ferry so that's an extra cost in there too. For us it's all part of it so we plan and budget that way. I would recommend getting a cabin on the way back, started doing it a couple of years back coming from Green Man (where we take the ferry on the Monday afternoon but it's a shorter less gruelling overall experience). It's a huge luxury for not that much extra money.
  2. We've gone from Dublin a few times in the past (unfortunately no tickets this year) but we always go Rosslare - Pembroke. One year we flew as we were coming from Spain and then rented a car, we did end up staying in Sticklinch for convenience that year though so it was a lot of extra expense. The drive is fine really and builds up the excitement, we get the ferry over Tuesday morning, do our shopping somewhere and stay overnight near the site and then get there early Wednesday morning. Then on leaving we stay in Cardiff before the ferry on the Tuesday. Edited to add - we find the roads better doing it Rosslare - Pembroke as the roads down Wales are really not good! And with the new road to Wexford now it's not too bad.
  3. A gang of ours got tickets about 20 mins in and our tickets #s are 95 and very low so lots left!
  4. This is all great info, thank you so much @benali
  5. We've always used a credit card rather than debit from Ireland, I wouldn't wish to chance it in case it blocks your ticket purchasing.
  6. This worked for me, thank you so so much!
  7. Friend got through but early birds sold out so don't try for them.
  8. As the wife in this scenario I'll give mine so! When I got engaged the fella above at the festival and spent a lot of the rest of the festival just happily shedding a few tears. In 2019 I cried 3 times in the space of 2 hours or so. First when David Attenborough came out on stage, I just was so happy to see him. When Nick Cave came out on stage with Kylie and then when Kylie herself got upset over cancelling due to breast cancer. I think it was a combo of lots of things happening that would ordinarily affect me but also the incredible heat, I was always going to get overcome by something. I reckon this year I'll cry when we arrive, I as overwhelmed at Green Man last year so I think the same thing will happen again.
  9. Super! It's like I've forgotten how bins and the festival works, delighted ye are all here to help me!!!
  10. Slightly related - it says compostable on the cup, are there compost bins on the site? Also, yum!
  11. Finally on this, Seetickets just came back saying more will be available later this week so keep an eye on the site. They'll even refund my general parking ticket if I get back to them. Thanks everyone on the thread, you really helped calm me down since Saturday 😄
  12. This is amazing news, thank you so much for sharing!
  13. I'm not sure if you can buy specific tickets though so hence the mild panic! Hopefully it'll get sorted soon 😑
  14. Hey, thanks for the response, I've mailed them and I'll be refreshing like it's ticket sale day from now on!
  15. Hi folks, I completely dropped the ball and forgot to get a Sticklinch car parking ticket with the tent booking. Does anyone have one they are no longer using or a way around this? All WV and Sticklinch tickets are now showing as sold out. Long shot I know! Thanks in advance.
