  1. Seemed pretty negative on the comments but I am absolutely loving it so far. Not normally one to listen to leaks but I have a lot of meetings tomorrow so couldn't pass up the chance to have an uninterrupted run-through. Barely noticed Lana on her track as well which is certainly a plus.
  2. Had so much fun at their last London show with Matt Skiba but always wanted to see them with Tom. I remember finding out Chester Bennington from Linkin Park had died just before they came on so it certainly helped cheer me up. One of those shows I don't really care they sound it's just a blast to sing along to all the bangers.
  3. Forget Arctic Monkeys, get The Hives on the Pyramid lads!
  4. Was mid replying "I suppose 'How Bizarre' could be a fun sing-along for an early Pyramid slot" before I realised.
  5. Go by car rather than coach. Yeah the coach ticket is an extra shot at going but getting one at 4am on Monday and being stuck in traffic for ages in London around 8-9 was not fun. Would rather just get straight in the car after the Sunday headliner and go home. Also going with more people who actually like music so I can see more stuff I actually want to see.
  6. I'm also holding out for free/mega-cheap APE Gorillaz tickets. Last time I remember getting free tickets for every day I wanted to see, couldn't even give my spares away.

    Blink 182

Thought they were quality live when I saw them (with Skiba) but then they're one of those bands you just scream out every word and don't really notice how they actually sound. Could see them maybe do that Miley/Katy Perry Sunday slot where they throw in a random big name act.
  8. Got in the queue around half 8 on the Sunday. Think we were supposed to go in at 9 but after a bit of delay they started letting people in around 9:20. Short story - there were various performances & interactive things. Longer, spoilery version: There were people dressed as various Alice In Wonderland characters outside. Group of people had some teacups and Alice let them skip the queue. Got to the front of the queue and had to crawl through the Mad Hatter's legs to get into the tree. Had loads of cool decorations inside, crawled through some more legs then someone gave me a flying saucer sweet. Then Tweedle-Dee & Tweedle-Dum were by two doors and I had to pick one. My partner & I also had propeller hats which they loved. I went through the 'Dum!' door which let to a tunnel I had to crouch-walk through & out of a large vagina into a larger Wonderland themed area. This area had a bar which only sold cocktails at a tenner each (only had the 1). There was a stage with various performers, I remember a drag performer & someone called LYNKS. They also brought members of the audience on stage for various games like a dating show. There was also a club bit with DJs & sometimes Alice & some mushrooms would dance on it. The Queen Of Hearts also came out and played hedgehog croquet with Alice. Had so much fun there we stayed until 3am and missed all the Sunday headliners. Apparently the likes of Louis Theroux, Noel Gallagher & Rita Ora were about but I didn't see them. Would definitely recommend going in at least once but definitely best to get in the queue pre-9 to really experience everything.
  9. "I hope they get Michael Jackson to headline next year." "Ahh mate can you imagine!? That'd be sick!" "Nah he can't headline, he's dead!" "He's not!? Naaaah, really!?"
  10. Little Simz Macca Don't recall seeing a third act on that level tbh
  11. That's useful to know. I remember getting on at London and not having any ID checks or anything. No idea what the earliest coach is but might just have a go.
  12. Hi, got coach tickets with my scheduled return one at 5am. Was wondering if anyone's tried getting on an earlier one rather than hanging around for several hours? Our one on the way there had several empties so thinking of chancing it...
  13. Final day for me today. Will be listening to a lot of Glass Animals & Kendrick to hype me up. Actually have quite a bit of important stuff to do though so can't slack off too much!
  14. Going to be an iconic moment on the Pyramid Stage!
  15. Hi, I'm going by coach for the first time this year & was just wondering what to expect from journey times? Google maps says the drive is around 3 hours from the O2 but assuming a bit more traffic on the way there, especially getting in (leaves at 9am). The coach back is 5am Monday but should be a bit of an easier drive at that time so hoping we arrive back no later than 8am.
