Have to say, it’s so weird they didn’t bother even putting the Beats&Swing on Twitter or their website.

Was it a mistake to put it out there?

I am surprised there is nothing on the website too. Especially as last year about 8 or 9 acts from the beats stage made the main poster (Including the 3 beats headliners) although I dont think it was a mistake, them posting it. Just shocked they not acknowledged them on main website or app for that matter.

Presume this is a food outlet at Victorious?

Also @siscogot to be this week surely?

There is a cafe in the skatepark. As they are in the festival fences, they put a stall outside the front entrance to skatepark and were selling a range of cheap and cheerful food and drinks. (Not the normal all year prices, as it’s a festival and a chance to make money for the cafe, but much cheaper than other vendors)

although I have heard the cafe has new owners and had a refit end of last year, so got to see if they do the same sort of thing for Victorious this year.

I found it extremely easy to sneak spirits in last year using pouches. I had a bottles worth of Captain Morgans each day while my wife had a bottle of Malibu in pouches attached to her. I even went off site on the Saturday to the local Sainsburys to get another bottle to dispense into pouches. Note, I did not drink all of this myself! However, let's just say...Kaisers into Kasabian was a massive party for us!! Only festival cost I really had was buying some coke from ice cream vendors.

I think most of Victorious go in with pouches strapped to them. My problem is going in with my daughter who needs a drink every hour and eating is every 2-3 hours! Costs a bloody fortune. Although I found one of the cheapest places for food was southsea skatepark last year!

Exactly how we feel.... seems very flat this year

    If I remember, you’re a local???

Glad your feeling the same, you get a few people who are excited, but there definitely isn’t the same buzz in Portsmouth for Victorious this year.

I really think it’s a shame, as Victorious has so much potential

I know we're just under 6 months away but can anyone remember roughly when the stage splits and times were released last year?

Last year, we knew the stages by May, but the actual times went out early July.

Some of the acts/stages have been put on website, but nothing been updated in months, since before the second announcement.

Yeah I’d be the same if I was local, buy early and go whatever.
We still haven’t took the plunge as no idea what we’re doing yet.  Friday isn’t happening for certain but no idea if we’ll do 1/2 days yet.  Got a hotel booked but might save some money there and drive home after the 2nd night if we decide to do sat and Sunday.

For me, summer and a Bank holiday, if I wasnt doing anything, I would probably be in Southsea anyhow....so for me its just buying our food and drinks each day. (And to be honest, we usually have a big brunch at home to keep us going till later in the afternoon)

But I totally get all the extra costs you guys have to pay, hotels, travel, etc. for a festival with very little buzz about it. Its a tough one xx

  7. Im local, so I bought a weekend ticket for £145 plus 11.60 booking fee on early bird one, because I'd be going in some way whatever the line up- its on my doorstep.

If I wanted to buy the weekend ticket now its £226.80

To be honest, with the line up, even as a local, it would be a no from me- I might of considered going for one day.

I dont know if its just me, but their seems to be no buzz about Victorious this year, some people are happy, but it just feels flat, no excitement- Ive even heard people calling it Groundhog day.

I suppose the good thing for me, is, I dont have to go in all day, I can travel day later, leave early and  we can go in and out, therefore I dont have to pay the over inflated food and drinks prices all day. Which will save me a fortune x

Means we won’t be getting too much more in the way of big acts then

I am now interested in what they will do with the D-DAY car park, that's a big space - although I agree, not a lot more will be announced. as they will put some of the beats acts on the poster (They had 2 or 3 from each day last year)

I am camping and what is this about shuttle bus fees?

A weekend camping ticket is the same price as non camping ticket for an adult, however if you chose to camp, you need to know the following

If you park in the campsite parking its £25.00 for weekend (Free street parking is a little bit of a trek with all your camp stuff)

If you use the campsite buses to go to festival, it costs £35 per adult plus booking fee

  11. I live about a mile from the farlington fields camp site: And was shopping at the weekend in my local supermarket, Sainsburys (next to the campsite-down the road)

Just to update anyone camping, they are putting in a Costa Coffee, in the Sainsburys. No date of opening, which I have seen, but the signs have gone up outside the area inside Sainsburys. Also to say, sainsburys has a hot food counter, with pizzas, sausage rolls, wings etc and a yo sushi counter, as well as the usual bits and pieces.

Anyone else thinking of camping, there are also a couple of food vans near the camp site, which may be a lot cheaper than onsite.

The key would be whether or not the Sunday at the bandstand days start up again. Rhythm of the 90s will be the sign. 😂

Just seen that the Costal scheme want to open up the bandstand field for April, and the new costal path from June (if they run on time)

Looks like we may have bandstand back at the bandstand 🤞🏻

  13. I believe we will get a 3rd announcement but as others have said, I don’t think we get any big/huge names.

as Sisco said, if we look at the Sunday, if his prediction is correct, we have most of the Common & Castle acts.

but the posters from last year had all the Common, Castle, 4/5acts for acoustic, 2/3 acts for beats, and couple for world music for the Saturday for example.

While we may not get any big names, we may get some more acts for these kind of stages.

And the headliner a few years back for seaside, if it comes back was Clean Bandit
