  1. I got tickets 🙂 yay - so excited for my second Glastoooo
  2. The only think I worry about is the nicer camping spots going. I missed out on tickets last night 😞
  3. 2 of our group of 5 have tested positive so far. I have a sore throat and runny nose but negative yesterday and today. People on this thread are being quite rude. If you don't want to test or think about Covid then I suggest you don't read (or post!) on a thread titled 'Hands up if you caught covid there?'. No one asked what your opinion on testing or Covid was - the point of the thread is to talk about whether you caught it.
  4. cherry with vanilla ice cream went down as a treat for breakfast one day
  5. Last day today and 0 work is being done 🤭
  6. Thanks for the tip - only have a small tent so not sure can fit booze under the ground sheet... I will def be using the lock ups though!
  7. I have heard it is done on security questions like postcode, name, signature etc... but some one else might be able to verify as haven't been before 🙂
  8. Hi, it is my first glasto and I am not taking much cash and will use lock ups for valuables... do people use the lock ups for their big bags of clothes and cool boxes of booze etc? I am worried about being robbed 😞
  9. Ooo thank you - love an elderflower cordial 🙂
  10. Hello, I am sorry that you went through a difficult time but well done for making it through the other side. I am also going booze free at Glasto having been hospitalised a few weeks ago with a stomach bleed and needing a blood transfusion as I lost so much blood. Long term iburprofin use after breaking my shoulder in January (snowboarder smashed into me on the first day of my ski trip). Anyway, I had no idea that iburpriofin could cause so much damage to my stomach - and I need it to heal by taking medication and cutting out booze and caffeine for at least 6 months 😞 I am thinking about bringing some nice AF beers or AF G&T's (I like seedlip so maybe de-cantering some of that into a plastic bottle to mix with tonic - tastes quite like gin.. ) - also considering ginger beer? any recommendations? I cannot carry too much as I am coming on the coach. It is my first glasto so will definitely be an experience I do hope some of the bars serve some nice AF options or mocktails ... (is this wishful thinking haha?) 🙂
  11. This time in 3 weeks I will be on the 9:30 coach from Bristol 🙂
  12. First timer here! Going with my boyfriend (also a first timer) and some of his friends and friends of friends who have all been before multiple times. I am most looking forward to McCartney, Diana Ross and Elbow!!
  13. I got sent an email with my coach ticket 🙂 - and will be collecting my glasto ticket on the coach - first ever glasto festival!! I went to the killers gig last night in Bristol and got me in the mood for some great live music.
  14. Thanks - mine are really well worn so I know they won't be an issue.
  15. I read this initially as 'you need the additional height' (in order to see the stages)... luckily I am 6ft. OK thanks re the boots. Might get insoles so they are a little comfier. Is there a packing list on this forum anywhere? (sorry if it is obvious)
  16. Hello I am going for the first time.... walking boots (that give ankle support) or walking shoes (like the hiking trainers) - which do people think are the best bet? Both waterproof The hiking boots give more ankle support but are bulkier to wear and hotter on my feet Hiking shoes are lighter but don't give the ankle support I think - I don't have any at the moment but might buy some like this if people think they are a good footwear option? https://www.columbiasportswear.co.uk/p/womens-trailstorm-waterproof-walking-shoe-1938911.html?dwvar_1938911_color=317&dwvar_1938911_size=12&&mid=paidsearch&eid=Google+Adwords+UK&nid=&oid=&did=&gclid=CjwKCAjwuYWSBhByEiwAKd_n_ntV-R6rh4A8CWh0EP__dl2zP6GTrkqPzvAKqtB1oqyLDVUdD4KSCxoCDFQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

  20. Hello fellow Bristolian 👋 this is why I try and cycle everywhere if I can.. traffic is really bad
  21. Definitely do not do this!! if you’re on time you will struggle to make this if you’re flight is delayed even slightly then it’s all over
  22. I have a spare room in Bristol and I’m on the Wednesday morning 9:30 coach. If I can help let me know.
  23. My heart rate spiked to 150 so I then tried to calm down a little and then kept trying for another efester… I then went out and got drunk on wine
  24. Always happy to help. I have two people to help on Sunday - feel free to PM me anyone if you want extra help as I have space for two more 🙂
  25. There are still applications open to be an Oxfam campaigner. You have to write in 300 words about one of their campaigns and why climate justice is important. You need a reference (which is a tick box form so very short for the referee) - and then you pay a £280 deposit. You also need to do a short 3 mins video talking about something you are passionate about. I started the application and wrote the 300 word question and got a reference done as a back up in case I didn't get tickets yesterday. I luckily managed to so I will be cancelling my application... there are still spaces to apply. Good luck
