It didn’t feel quite as bad as last year, but it’s the night time stuff that really needs sorting. A few people who hadn’t been since 2019 said the whole festival felt noticeably less enjoyable because of queues and crushes for absolutely everything, even the food, which they “used to just casually wander up to” But I said gone are the days of just stumbling upon a DJ set in the wee hours. Social media and apps have taken away all of the mystery, so now it becomes a scramble to get to anything remotely popular. I remember in 2013 just stumbling on a Diplo set on the Hell Stage and there being mountains of space to dance.

Are we meant to have been invited by oxfam if we already have a spot? I didn’t even know about it.

Can’t believe I’ve missed them again. Have been glued to my laptop 9-5 since they officially released the last batch. Seems like the times are very random. If anyone has any tips for just getting one spot or if there is a WhatsApp, I’d be really appreciative of any assistance. Just looking for one for my partner.

Yep agreed. I’m pretty sure the one that dropped out this year is Rihanna because of her pregnancy. Superbowl was meant to be the start of a big comeback for her until the baby came along. So she is most likely of all rumoured here. I’d really rate them for getting 3 female headliners to be honest. It would be a real return to the progressive nature of the festival after this years stale roster.

I’ve gotta say. I’ll never underestimate how lucky I am to be going to Glastonbury and know that it’s so much more than the lineup. But this years is the most drab and uninspired I have seen in my 10 years of attending. It seems to be the case for a lot of UK festivals this year but Glastonbury in particular. Yet some of the US festivals seem a lot more inspired with their line up choices. I know I’ll still have the best time but usually by this point there’s a nice surprise somewhere. Maybe it’s our age bracket (25-30) but most of the people we would want to see here have been done to death. Hopefully some more inspired choices next year.

I’d argue yes. They’re one of the only acts this year that I must see. They’ve headlined the park before and their latest album is their best yet.

Those headliners make the rumoured headliners for Glasto seem so stale… A step back for sure.

This link says coach travel though? Will that matter? Surely that was only for Thursday?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but the website didn’t make it that clear. If we pay for coach, do we have to pay for it upfront with the deposits today? So like one from London would £105 today?

Out of the 7 I’ve been to, we all agreed that this felt uncomfortably busier at times. The extra tickets that they sold really did make it less enjoyable and bordering on dangerous at points. South East Corner was a nightmare on Saturday. TLC and also McFly/Sugababes and Arcadia. They really need to expand south east corner now as it’s become so integral to the festival and Saturday was a nightmare. Also, as a member of the LGBT+ community, it is a bit of a shame that I can’t ever make it into the Downlow anymore. Could do with expanding that in particular. I think a lot of this could be somewhat improved with better staging decisions and more competitive clashes to split the crowds. Still had the time of my life. But it did take a bit of the shine off.

Yeah it definitely feels like they’ve oversold this year. Everywhere has been uncomfortably busy. Even on Thursday. That, or just terrible scheduling. First festival out of 8, where I’m feeling a bit uneasy

Is there any solid news about Anderson? I was the most devastated about him not being on the new line up. I swear I won’t tell anyone! Haha

Mostly really happy with this. Is it useless to still hold out hope for Dua and/or Harry as other headliners? Do we think we have all stage headliners on here?
