It didn’t feel quite as bad as last year, but it’s the night time stuff that really needs sorting. A few people who hadn’t been since 2019 said the whole festival felt noticeably less enjoyable because of queues and crushes for absolutely everything, even the food, which they “used to just casually wander up to”
But I said gone are the days of just stumbling upon a DJ set in the wee hours. Social media and apps have taken away all of the mystery, so now it becomes a scramble to get to anything remotely popular.
I remember in 2013 just stumbling on a Diplo set on the Hell Stage and there being mountains of space to dance.
