Never went this year, interested to see what people thought of it. Improvements, best acts ect ect.
You know the drill people.
-
endor self confirm on their facebook. Not worthy of its own thread, well for me it is. If you've not seen them yet, do yourself a favour. Mcscotty, i mean you in particular.
-
Watched The Loved Ones, fairly decent horror film - quite creepy and weird in parts-still well worth watching,

I was kinda thinking the same. I'm not in the habit of coming on a thread just to slag things of(inspite of what people think) but there is no momentem here.
Please folks check out ed sheeran though, even if your not going.

Kassidy just confirmed they are playing this year Phew!
Headlining Hothouse on Saturday in place of Frightened Rabbit.
-
Sunbaking in the garden for the 2nd day in a row, sheer bliss

Oh dear god.
Fair enough, invite some of the better acts from previous years back, but Echo? Ian McCulloch was such a massive knob the last time I'm gobsmacked the organisers asked him back. I'm also massively dissapointed to see that Dangleberries are playing again, even though I fully expected it.

Don't be,
Joining them at Bella 11' are Echo & The Bunnymen and Frightened Rabbit!
The Bunnymen? Seriously as much as i love their music their festival performances over the years have been poor. From what i hear they were awful at loop, not great at bella, ok at connect.
-
Where did you see that?
-
There should be some good additions I bet and i think you could probably count on kassidy playing (don't read anything into that though, its just a little hunch based on how well they were recieved the last two years )
-
Great... cheer me up why don't you

Picked up the album a couple of days ago, having heard one of their tracks on a Sky Sports advert (of all places), and have juat spotted they're on the Glasto line up. Looks like i'll be making my first ever trip to the acoustic tent to check them out.
Any love for them out there? Anyone seem 'em live?
-
I've had a lsiten to most acts now on websites etc and IMHO this must be the worst line up in the history of festivals
-
See that makes a bit more sense (would be my idea of hell). I still can't get my head around this booking though. I've been trying to think of another scottish 80's band to give it some context. Aztec Camera, Danny Wilson, Simple Minds (but then that would be a booking and a half, mind you i love the breakfast club so I'm biased).
Talking of which I met Dougie Vipond once, so i'm biased against them.

No, you're right, Deacon Blue are much better than Feeder, I'm really looking forward to seeing them!
-
Very disappointed if Feeder are the headliners. Lets all hope its a rumour. Was hoping for something like Shed Seven, Ian Brown and Toots and the Maytals. Looks like it will be scooter tent for me.
-
Oh dear.. couple acts out that I would go and see but between the headliners neither have been relevant for at least 10 years.. maybe they should have been booked for Rewind Festival the week before instead.
-
The line up could improve of course, it will get slightly worse when they add the dangleberries, but it could get better.
-
Agree 100% with you. Line up is pretty weak. Other than Frank Turner there's nothing to excite. I'll see what proposed festie in Aberdeen the week before announces and might give Bella a miss this year.
-
Where are you guys gettin this info from? I can't find it anywhere.
-
If Texas & Deacon Blue are both headliners, then I'm disappointed. Liked them well enough 1st time around, but think at least one headliner should be more current. Texas are strong enough I guess but DB, not so sure

Anyone notice Horner's in car comment to Vettel just after he won? "this is the one you wanted" as in the race, to piss off his team mate perhaps?
-
For the record, I shall try not to be disrespectful to anyones tastes in the future.....(McScotty stop laughing)

I've been to the GP a couple of times, it's great and I doubt you'll be bored going for all 4 days. With seats in the stand you don't even have to go early to bag a spot either. If you are there very early ( week or two) you can walk around the track, we even went into the garages as they were just being put togther. And yes we jumped the fence and ran along the track to watch the podium, might be tighter security now though It can be bloody hot though so go prepared.
Also I second Gre, take the plunge and go to Sydney, you're most of the way there already! It's worth it. There are low cost carriers, virgin blue if it's still around is one.
