  1. 3 week period from Super Bock till Start of Sziget and another 3 weeks till R+L so he could fit in. He's not really a Sziget-typical fit but the timing is convenient, especially considering that the approach to bookings this year is unlike anything we've ever seen
  2. 21 in Portugal in July then in R+L in August... maybe?
  3. Sziget had Clean Bandit at 4PM right before Stormzy back in 2017 so pre-sub kinda makes sense to me. Still nowhere near the sub-sizes of previous years though.
  4. Parkway Drive, Gaslight Anthem, Stone, Mike Skinner (The Streets), Meute, Slowdive, James Arthur, Tom Morello, Archive, Sleaford Mods, The Blaze, Janelle Monae, Benjamin Clementine, Marc Rebillet, Sampha, Parcels, Zara Larsson, Loyle Carner, Froukje and High Vis added to Werchter line-up... not bad at all. p.s. it seems like people on most forums are unimpressed with European festival line-ups this year from what i can tell, hm.
  5. some new names for Dour (Belgium) in addition to what was announced previously.
  6. so P!nk is on tour in Europe with The Script and GAYLE till July 25th then starts her tour in North America on August 10th. She is a big enough act to be the female headliner and The Script on top of that would definitely be welcome. Plus, the headliners we're missing are for 7/8/9th of August. Thoughts?
  7. continuing to manifest surprise fred, four tet, skrillex b2b2b set 🥲
  8. As much as I'd hate to say it I'm sure Louis Tomlinson is responsible for a good chunk of ticket sales. Take a look at any social media platform and you'll definitely find at least one of his fans.
  9. I'm not sure what could have went sideways but from Leaks' comments and line-up it's clear that there has been some struggle with bookings. That being said, I'm very hopeful for Feb/March.
  10. Can't say I disagree. We're also checking out Zoe Wees, Grandson and Becky Hill but the undercard doesn't even compare to the last time we've been (2022) which had a good (not great) undercard. edit: i wonder how aware management is of the reaction to their current set of names, social media has been pretty vocal thus far from what i can see
  11. for those who are uncertain of the line-up atm, which remaining 3/4 headliners would be on par with the ones we currently have to truly put the nail in the coffin for your festival hopes this year?
  12. For the sake of passing the time till announcement, which acts do you think could solidify the current line-up whilst maintaining Sziget's commercial appeal?
  13. I wonder if @Sziget2024_Leaks has any New Year's resolutions 👀
  14. Artbat, Richie, Honey Dijon, Dom Dolla and Argy are 1000% Arena/Colosseum names and I'd bet Artbat and Argy will be on the same day line-up in some form of awakenings/afterlife/melodic techno label takeover.
  15. The xx are working on a new album apparently. How sick would it be if they actually get booked.
  16. As I've said I would much rather have a band-heavy announcement in Feb/March but can't help but wonder
  17. something to chew on for the holidays but if Sziget ARE indeed taking the younger audience/UK route, they should/could get Ice Spice, 21 Savage, AJ Tracey, Skepta & Romy who are in nearby festival at the time (Open'er, Grape, Melt, Way Out West)
  18. Just to offer some courage to everyone... this is the same festival which at one point had Swedish House Mafia, Macklemore Twenty One Pilots, Bullet For My Valentine, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Prophets of Rage, G-Eazy and Anne-Marie as headliners. Not including Juice Wrld, Kodaline, Yungblud and so many more. In one single edition (2019).
  19. Also realistically - unless Sziget's REALLY taking an L this year, we're looking at: 4 headliners (Stormzy potentially co-head a la Lorde/Macklemore?) + 2 sub-heads in Becky Hill and Louis Tomlinson right?
  20. I don't really mind the headliners, especially if you're going to have a strong sub-headliner slate (something we're lacking atm). I get that they pale in comparison to Imagine Dragons and Billie Eilish but I think what's *truly* missing is good indie/alt/folk subs like Two Door Cinema Club, Keane, Cage The Elephant, Snow Patrol, Franz Ferdinand and the lot, acts which truly create the festival vibe imo. That being said, definitely a solid line-up for electronic music fans. Also manifesting Skrillex for second announcement so we can get Fred/Four Tet/Skrillex closer
  21. I'll definitely be attending this year as we have already bought tickets - Sziget truly is one of the greatest experiences, the people are nice, the music is always good regardless of the line-up, the prices are reasonable. Whatever may come tomorrow, SZ is always a buzz. ♥️
  22. Don't know if 1st one could be Four Tet (potentially Fred Again.. x Four Tet x Skrillex) and star eyes one referring to Ellie Goulding? (has a song called Starry Eyed
  23. Thinking about it, this forum probably wouldn't have guessed names like A$AP Rocky (or maybe Khalid, FKA Twigs, blackbear, Little Simz and others to a lesser extent) back in 2020. Lot of players we barely mentioned this year with certain rappers/acts like Rocky/Swae Lee/Lil Yachty or electronic acts like Disclosure/Anotr/Skrillex/BUNT.
  24. Mad Cool also announcing on Tuesday and I'm confident one of Europe's biggest festivals (Sziget) didn't have their announcement postponed to come out with a line-up like everyone else's. Who are we waiting for?
