  1. I'm afraid were far past this option now as we have spent ~£1k on a 8 man tent and a porch add-on 😅 like I said I'm just trying to get a sense of whether the wheels will be large enough to withstand the potential mud
  2. My thinking is the fishing barrow is of a more sturdy construction and can carry a much greater volume of stuff. I do wish it wasn't so expensive but the cheaper ones don't fold away as small as this one 😞
  3. We are worried about getting trolleys on the coach as we already have lots of bulky stuff. These collapse down pretty small whereas the garden trolleys don't seem to as much. Also these seem to carry more volume and we have a huge tent with separate porch
  4. FYI the video at the bottom of the page gives more of an impression of the size of the wheels 🙂
  5. I've heard and seen pictures of uneven muddy treks to the campsite and heard the warnings that small wheels get stuck in the mud so it's best to use big pneumatic tires etc. We are looking at getting two of these bad boys which (I think?) have pneumatic tires but they don't look massively big. https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/caperlan-session-barrow/_/R-p-306313?mc=8543093 In your opinion is one of these loaded up to like 80% capacity going to get stuck instantly and be useless? I don't know why but I imagined the paths up until specific campsite areas would all be paved with some sort of metal grid to make it easier. That's probably just wishful thinking 😂
  6. Moving my question to the chat area as it's not really a serious one.
  7. Zooloos I think they're called 🙂 Apparently it's actually a small walk outside of the festival site too which doesn't sound great.
  8. We went with the air 8 tent in the end which is about half the width I think so shouldn't be as bad, thanks for the advice!
  9. National express I think I didn't get the ticket+coach package 🙂
  10. Would you recommend gate a coach que for aiming for pennards/park home then?
  11. Unfortunately showers are a must for me and we figured it beats £100 shower pass x 6 people and the long ques 😬 You make a very good point though and we will be considerate and get something we can stand in to catch the falling water 😁
  12. Thanks a good point thanks for the reply!
  13. How come you were at gate D for oxylers? Was it just the closest gate for you or is it the best for those areas. Trying to work out whether to que at gate a where we get dropped off or walk down to gate d
  14. Ok I'm gonna be as specific as possible and hope someone replies 🙂 First time at Glastonbury for the 6 of us, we are traveling from Liverpool by coach and will be arriving 5am. Our concern is we have an XL (Berghaus air 6XL) tent, want to camp somewhere lively and aren't sure how possible it will be. pennard hill, park home, oxylers sound great but the walk from the coach drop off to gate D seems huge (anyone know how long?) So we won't be in the que until maybe just before 6am and it sounds like people que from Tuesday afternoon. Is it a lost cause aiming for a lively place with a large tent (we have a porch add-on for the tent and shower tent too)? and is it that much of a purge that people will rip up our shower tent etc so they can get a pitch? If it's within reason to aim for these places given our tent size and que time I would like to have a prioritised hit list of where we should try first based on likelihood of enough space. I.e. 1. Pennard hill 2. Park home 3. oxylers etc. Thanks in advance this won't be my last question as I'm sooooo excited 🙂
  15. Also looking to buy 1 ticket, willing to pay £10 above ticket price.
  16. If you have refresh retreat tickets I will buy one of them of you
  17. Left it too late and they sold out. Willing to to pay £10 on top of ticket price (showers and toilets preferred). Save some money and sell one to me 🙂
