  1. I'm happy, most of all with Sleater-Kinney, Gruff Rhys and Ty Segall. Looking forward to seeing Fever Ray for the first time. Would have loved Yves Tumor too and shame Bas Jan not back again. Hope Taraka returns one day too. Overall, a good lineup although I would only watch one of the biggest font headliners.
  2. Good: Charlotte Adigery and Bolis Pupul put on an absolutely stunning show which was my favourite set of the festival; Fatoumata Diawara; Deliluh; The Anchoress; Personal Trainer; Ezra Furman (My Zero and cover of Gloria particularly); Deerhoof; Enys Men live score; Open Sesame kebabs! Bad: I felt very sorry for The Anchoress being unlucky enough to clash with Wet Leg as she was great. Also Saturday evening being so jam-packed between 8-10pm that I missed Crack Cloud, Lime Garden and most of H Hawkline. I really enjoyed UMO's set but the crowd was sparse and there was so much talking which did spoil it. Things improved when the volume was turned up midway through. Boat stage still not quite working with a big crowd Being too shattered to make it to the secret sets on Sunday night The ugly: Ezra going on indefinite hiatus and of course the toilets
  3. Woman here. I agree with LowerMead, it's a design fail. The problem with saying that it is just 'a few minutes a day,' is that it is multiple times throughout. It makes it harder to enjoy yourself as you know you will be dealing with a piss-covered loo again soon and maybe having another drink isn't the best idea. Women having to constantly clean up after thoughtless men (not everyone - thanks to those who were considerate) isn't cool. I also found the steps really awkward and was not a fan of the same type of cups being used for the sawdust as at the bar. A plus point was the hand washing facilities - now add some soap dispensers and keep the hand sanitizer topped up at all times please. It hasn't put me off entirely. I won't be buying an early bird ticket as usual this year though and will wait to see the line up I think. There are so many other great things about the festival. It's just such a shame as the toilet situation used to be so much easier to navigate. I would even accept a little bit more queueing for a nicer, cleaner loo experience. I just think that more urinals would make it a better situation for everyone.
  4. Sleater-Kinney as headliner would be perfect. Would also like any of Bas Jan, Peaches, Tune-yards, Yves Tumor, Gwenno, Gruff Rhys, Rosalie Cunningham, Lonelady and Kelis. Need St Vincent to come back soon for a hat-trick of solo headline performances. Also Le Tigre are active again, but extremely unlikely to ever happen as UK Bikini Kill Roundhouse show cancelled after multiple postponements. Pavement and Deerhoof would keep the other half more than happy.
  5. I was initially underwhelmed at the lineup but saw some great stuff that was new to me. Absolutely loved Aldous as expected, but Taraka and Audiobooks were completely fantastic standout moments too. Also Circuit Des Yeux and Nilufer Yanya. I felt the Woods stage was fairly poor this year though. I enjoyed Perfumegenius but don't really get the appeal of Khruangbin. Pixies seemed to be going through the motions. I've always found Fleet Foxes incredibly irritating so steered well clear (sorry - personal taste). I found the loos variable, but generally quite bad - lots of instances of no paper or gel and broken locks and occasional overflowing pans. I really miss the old Andy Loos with sinks. Handwashing at drinking water points isn't ideal. Nor is having a urinal right next to you inside the campsite cubicles. I still had a really great time and love EOTR. So pleased that the weather turned out to be kind despite the grim forecasts.
  6. H Hawkline did one with Tim Presley from White Fence in his band. Performed two covers by George Harrison and Robert Wyatt.
