Is there any greater joy than sneaking in at the top end of an age bracket?? I've been to a Glastonbury in 5 of those age brackets and next year will add a 6th. I remember at my very first one (15-17), meeting a guy in his 70s who had been going since the beginning and being blown away by him. I promised him I wouldn't just come to one and I'd keep it going! 😄 I do think the UK is far more age mixed in socialising. I particularly love the mix at Glastonbury, long may it continue!

This year, as I'm in the campervan, I'll be bringing my plastic Spritz glasses and some pre-mix cans of Aperol Spritz. Will freeze some orange slices. This will suit the 30 degree heat we will be having and the Italian Summer vibes. When I was on a coach, would decant spirits into plastic bottles and buy mixers on site. Increasingly would also tip towards a spirit that tastes alright warm/neat as the laziness for ice and queueing would take hold! 20 years on though and I think I'll wait for some sophisticated ice.

Stopped in that Premier Inn myself about 10 years ago now before a morning rush! Agree with everyone else, just enjoying the memories! 😄

By Tuesday there will be a fairly regular shuttle from Castle Cary to the site. I think you usually have to show credentials that say you're working but she'll have them so should be fine!

Bought a new cooking pan, a silicone liner for my Omnia (love of my life camping oven), an ice block and a storage unit for the awning! Not long now....

My Yeti cooler stayed cold for 6 days in proper heat camping last year with minimal opening, but nothing too OTT. We used it a fair bit. HOWEVER, the ice melted within 1 day when I used it for work as a diet coke fridge at a conference. So the amount you open it (and i suspect people leaving it open... poor stewardship of the communal diet cokes) definitely makes a difference.

I will trade pretty much any temperate for a no rain festival. But if I can pick - 22 and sunny for me thanks weather gods.

I bought an adjustable kettlebell during the height of lockdown and what arrived was a terrible waterbottle shaped like a dumbbell. My friends made me keep it to mock me.

Either getting off site to Bristol on the last shuttle/national express, or potentially pre-ordering a taxi to site?? You might strike lucky scoring a lift - there are usually places you can pop up a note to see if anyone can give you a lift out.

Done all those routes in the van and all were fine for us! I can't remember anything too wild. I'd definitely do the Stonehenge way but mainly so I could listen to Stonehenge on repeat for at least 30 minutes.

Well I can definitely recommend a Baggies Balti Pie, and you can even come and sit in the home end with us to enjoy it! 😄

I am sure it was Gate A last time I got it, but as @blutarskysays it might well be PGA. They are fairly close to each other by Glastonbury standards though so it will definitely be that end of the site!

Any combo of sausage, egg, chips, bacon, beans and mushrooms can be yours. On a baguette if you so choose, and cheese is available. Some cold fillings in baguettes too!
