I think KoRn should get their flowers and get a headline slot but why would you book them to headline when you can book a headliner AND them?
Korn/Deftones co-headline?

Saw Feeder last night in London. I’d take them as an avalanche headliner next year. It’ll be twenty years since they headlined the main stage too.

POD said they’re back over in June onstage tonight at Wembley…reckon they’ll be at download then!

They’ve only gone and done it.
Your first Download 2025 headliner: Sleep Token.
I’m not a sleep token fan but even I can admit Download would be missing a trick not getting Sleep Token to headline in 2025.
Its their time NOW.- 2

Looking odds on favourites now.

Yeah, there has to have been something happen that’s caused some sort of divide between the camps. Maybe demanding slots that are too big for them? When was the last time they even played DL?
I genuinely think it was 2013.

They headlined 4th in 2022, last tour or not, they’re not suddenly jumping up to headline 2nd or play 3rd on main.
Was certainly more excitable thinking than logical thinking 😂

Pretty sure it'll be arena dates over an open air gig again.
Feel if Knotfest UK was to get announced, it would’ve been by now, so feeling arena dates is the way forward

Naaaaah. That’s insane.
I’ve got a mate who has a mate who works at the 02 Arena. They’ve said December 20th 2024 (I think) for the London date.
Obviously take it with a pinch of salt, could be total bollocks…but she seems pretty certain. -

Sepultura are doing their farewell tour next year, going until the end of 2025. Playing arenas in Europe and Hammersmith (5k capacity) in London.
Maybe 3rd down Main at a push?
Second stage headliner. Let’s go!!!

Sunday is booked for me.

To be fair, Matt’s voice has been shot for years, so it’s probably for the best he’s chose to leave.
A shame, but the new vocalist does interest me. -
Thursday are at Hell Fest so I can fully see Thursday here.

I'll go if this is finally the year they get Deftones.
What are the chances? I always hold out a bit of hope because I know they want it to happen.

This is more just an out the box prediction, but with Trivium and Bullet with big 20 year album anniversaries coming in 2025, I’d not be totally opposed to them co-headlining on the Friday. Both bands get 75/80 minutes each, both play through the albums, few big hits tacked on at the end…I think people would enjoy it a lot.
Whack two BIG headliners on the Saturday and Sunday, then that could help cover all bases.
I don’t think it’ll happen (but both will possibly play), but that’s just an idea that popped into my head.

To me, it’s perfectly acceptable as a lineup. However, it’s not £350 acceptable!

So Pantera playing 3rd Saturday main with Bad Omens and WSS taking the other spots. Corey Taylor and Sum 41 taking two of the second stage headline spots. Billy Talent, The Used and Baby Metal 4th down?
Sum 41 are also clearly going to play their own dates after this due to it being their last UK Festival show
I was thinking Billy Talent and the Used might headline the Avalanche stage.

Funny you mention Shikari, they are still yet to be given a main stage slot at Download.
That’s mental, that is.

Black Stone Cherry have plummeted like Bullet haven’t they, surely they’re not a sub level band anymore? They headlined a 5K capacity festival last year.
I didn’t even see Black Stone Cherry there.

I reckon Life of Agony to headline the Dogtooth stage one day.
-
I know it seems all but confirmed
for FOB, QUEENS and A7X but I wonder if Parkway Drive might be making the step up to main stage headliner?

They supported TGA in the past so I'd say it's fairly likely (if TGA get a say in who subs them at Trees?)
If KIGH are on the Thursday, as they’ve confirmed, it will be either an Axiom headline slot or they’ll go full on stacking that Thursday and have it go:
TGA
Manchester Orchestra
KIGH
Download 2025

Thats fair. I think both could actually headline but I’d not be against Korn headlining outright and Deftones getting 75/80 minutes underneath.
