That poster is legit, I’m sure of it. Who the hell would go out their way to put some of those undercard logo bands on it. A couple of real random ones.
Such a missed opportunity considering who else is on in Europe around the same time. Trying to appease a minority with the undercard because the headliners aren’t what DL is used to. I’m all for the change in direction for headliners and totally here for it, but overwall it’s incredibly underwhelming and cannot see this going down well at all. -
@Judas Yeast Put us out of our misery.

That's a sh*t ton of random lower bands to put on aswell. If that isn't legit then props to the person who put it together.

Because(one reason, should speak for him) he's an active poster on the official forums, who have been explicitly telling people not to post this stuff, and are well aware of this board. Guy wants to keep his account there. Why do you think Lee has disappeared off the face of the earth?
Understandable! I didn’t realise the official forums were so popular.

I was gonna keep quiet as I don't wanna spoil the announcement more than I already have, especially considering it's tomorrow 😂 I've been sent the list of bands though. Made a Spotify playlist and been enjoying that on shuffle this morning
Not having a go but at this point, why wouldn’t you just say? You’d be a lot more credible in years to come if your so called ‘sources’ are correct.
Unless Andy Copping knows who you are personally and will ban you from ever attending again what do you have to lose?Again, not having a go as I can certainly wait another day for the release but I just find posts like this slightly arrogant and childish. ‘Haha I know something you don’t know’

Aside from Bloodstock having their final headliner leaked by Big Green Coach have any festivals for next year had their posters leaked?
Not sure if you were being rhetorical but I wasn’t on about other festivals, just what’s happened with DL in previous years.
-
I put good money it will be leaked by tomorrow night. Media will be recieving the info in prep and you're not telling me it won't get out. Pretty sure it happens every year!

My mate is being very tight-lipped but apparently Fightstar were asked but said no as they want to concentrate on their own tour
Jon Mahon will be devo’d.

Rumoured headliners sound like Slam Dunk on Steroids which is great for me personally. I do worry about general ticket sales though. Still, it will give us a bit of respite after this year.

Could 30STM be about next year?
-
I know they're not everybodys cup of tea musically (especially post Tom) but I really hope Kasabian are back headlining next year, MSW.
-
Sad to say its
Post Malone - Little Simz
Travis Scott - Kasabian
Royal Blood - Doja Cat

It’s a good job I’m speaking about my experience then, isn’t it, seeing how that’s what I was asked about, my experience.
Except you weren’t asked.

Don’t be so patronising. I am more aware than anyone of when I’m having a nice time.
Takes me an hour to get there and I queued for 10 mins max to get parked up.
I didn’t think the organisation was shocking in any way regarding campsites, entertainment and the arena itself. I was prepared for a busier than normal weekend and that’s exactly what I got. I was not hugely inconvenienced at any time.
You're coming across incredibly ignorant. Just because it took you an hour to get there and 10 minutes to get parked up, doesn't mean other people weren't effected.

If I'm being honest, if it wasn't for the advertising slogan for the particular audience Slam Dunk tries to attract, it would be on it's ass. There's not really another day festival like it (lucky for them). Yesterday proved they can't handle that volume of people and the whole layout and dynamics of the site needs re-looking at. Dissapointing but still had an enjoyable day.

Halestorm are nailed on and there's a decent chance that means Alter Bridge are showing up as well. That might be enough to swing a few classic rockers. NOFX (not classic rock but very crusty) also need to say goodbye to England somehow, fingers crossed it's here.
At the end of the day, they can only book who they can book. Leppard and Crue are at Lytham. Ozzy can barely stand. Quo can't announced yet due to a tour. Black Stone Cherry are on their own tour that year with The Darkness who just played. Thunder and Whitesnake BOTH have vocalists out of action due to injury/illness. Slash might be busy with GNR if rumours are true. Scorpions are divas and won't get booked any year. Dream Theatre just toured here this year and rarely play. Twisted Sister are done. Shinedown and Airbourne just played.
Did I miss anyone? I really am not sure what exactly the classic rock crowd was expecting with all of the above in mind.
Agree. Sorry but this is what Download need to move away from (I mean they haven't exactly done it quite as subtle as I thought with next years bands) but the 2023 lineup is exactly the direction it needs to go in.

Panic! At the Disco? Steady on.
-
Worried about Ghost clashing with Parkway if Ghost headlining the second stage on Sunday rumours are true. Would be a shocking decision if so.
-
Not sure where Pendulum will play, need to be headlining a stage really. Avalanche too small.

I’m a celeb can wait later, all roads lead to 9pm when we can finally put this leaked poster denial to rest. 😉

New prediction...
Thurs:
Main - Metallica / Alice In Chains / Lamb Of God / Anthrax
Second (no headliner clash) - NOFX / The Distillers
Fri:
Main - BMTH / Architects
Second (headliner clash) - Ghost / Devin Townsend
Sat:
Main - Metallica / Alter Bridge / Halestorm
Second (no headliner clash) - Rob Zombie
Sun:
Main - Slipknot/ Parkway Drive / Cypress Hill / Jinjer
Second (no headliner clash) - Amon Amarth
Before anyone says Ghost won't headliner second, there was a rumour on Reddit they would so I've just gone with that.
This looks realistic tbf. As much as I don't want it to happen as they're a main stage band all day, Ghost would make perfect sense as an alternative should Bring Me be headlining the main.

Where did you hear Shikari to be announced ?
I've just gone off previous years posters.
3 logo bands for main, 2 for second, 1 for Avalanche, 1 for Dogtooth x 3 = 21
