Half of them probably don’t understand what the price cap is or what changes have been made, like you.

It’s a weekend in 10 days, she’ll have to hang on a couple of more days.

Looks like quite a few people aren’t that happy with Truss’ plan. Also it’s been pointed out that it’s not actually an energy cap at £2.5k as it’s capping the unit price of gas.
Do you understand what the price cap actually is?

Where does everyone stand on the This Morning Spin to Win controversy? They have changed the prize today to all household bills for 4 months rather than just energy. I can see why people have kicked off but ultimately the show is providing an opportunity to win some money to help and it is surely a symptom rather than a cause?
Don’t really see what the big fuss is. I’ve seen plenty of game shows in the past that had prizes along the lines of bills paid for a year. Wasn’t dystopian then and isn’t now.

What fucking use is a freeze after bills have already risen to unaffordable rates and many people have fixed their rates for the next year which factored in a rise that now isn’t coming?

Anyone that’s been in the Caribbean or Mexico during spring break knows that Americans are lightweights and turn into obnoxious idiots when they’ve had a few.
That’s not just the college party kids, that’s the majority of Americans I’ve come across in those situations. Families, couples etc
Don’t know why it has to be labelled as xenophobic to observe your experiences.

I'm buggered as I have prepayment meters. People with smarters maybe need to think twice as in theory their supplier could easily disconnect them.
Probably not a coincidence that prices have skyrocketed and will continue to skyrocket now that smart meters are in the majority of homes and that percentage will keep rising.
They know they’ve got everyone by the bollocks.

Maybe cause as leader of the opposition and potential PM, people should be looking at Starmer and see a plan for what he would be doing better in this crisis. Don't think anyone can really see that vision tbh. Apart from some of his more ... devoted fallowers of course
People in their little labour bubble don’t realise that labour are resigned to the opposition benches for another generation. Would be nice if they actually became the opposition at some point during that and tried to hold the government to account for their policies rather than just their personal conduct.

Good times.
Thanks China.

Hmmm @Ozannenot posting this one.... I wonder why.
A 1 point lead over the worst government in living memory. Embarrassing.

Labour are an embarrassment at this point.

Christ knows how Carillion managed to go bust because they were a major player when it came to PFI contracts too.

how many times has labour used "the tories will destroy the nhs" when trying to get elected, how many times has it worked.
They always conveniently miss out the little bit about PFI contracts crippling NHS trusts and how much responsibility Labour have to take for that.

I remember that from 2010. I missed 11 and 13 then it had moved when I got back in 2014.
Was that the year of the human pin ball machine or was that 2009? 2010 was the year of projections in Shangri-la - that was top notch.
2013 it was by where the glade usually is, on the other stage side. Really wasn’t a good idea, not surprised it only lasted 1 year.

i am serious, if the in-hospital numbers double-again, we're fucked for a health service.
The NHS hasn’t even begun to get over the last lockdown and the backlog. We can’t even contemplate another.
Finally got a hospital appointment for my child after waiting 3 months for a referral, it’s been booked for October 2023 🤦🏻♂️

Lockdown 😆 come on Neil be serious.

"we now know" as in the people of this forum, there's a difference in a theoretical danger and a confirmed fact, the results on here make it clear there is a very real chance of getting it again next year (assuming it doesn't die off in the meantime) so people would be making their decision to go on a proven fact rather than a theoretical danger.
I mean that’s not strictly true is it?
This years super spreader event appears to be a combination of a sizeable proportion of people that have never had it attending and going to Glastonbury being the “riskiest” thing they’ve done since the pandemic began, plus a new wave due to a mutation that seems pretty good at reinfecting people on top of that.
Nobody can predict that those stars would align again next year.

All those testing to protect others absolute hero’s in my eyes …. Wether it be someone you know or someone you don’t that’s vulnerable in society , we have a tool we can use for covid at least . Nice one for being socially responsible and looking out for others . I choose my risk by going and getting covid … many others didn’t ….. anyways fortunately I don’t seem to have things too bad … cough has definately eased today a few night sweats last night hopefully an upward path from now
Glad it’s not been too bad and when this bout of Covid passes you can get back to living without having to worry about it any more.
As should the vast majority of people under the age of 70.

for some people even a cold can be a large threat
This is true. I was watching DIY SOS the other week and there was a family on there who had a daughter who was CEV and they’d been careful during the pandemic obviously and then a simple common cold took her life.

Why? They’re a tourist attraction and generate a lot of money for the economy.
None of that exists without the faux power and importance they hold.
Those of you that get triggered by rich people having children and those children taking over once they move on….I assume you’ll be calling for an impoverished family to take over the running of Worthy Farm and Glastonbury Festival when Michael dies?
