  1. "Next year is essentially our 20th year so we wanted to do something a little bit special. All I can say is that it will be very, very exciting." - Copping. The lineup:
  2. SOAD/Def Leppard/Slipknot
  3. Would Copping risk having three brand new headliners like 08/09/10?
  4. (Added day on Thursday for campers) MAIN: Ghost / Disturbed / The Pretty Reckless / Motionless In White / Wage War SECOND: The Distillers / Busted / Fever 333 / Palaye Royale / Badflower Avalanche and Dogtooth closed MAIN: My Chemical Romance / Don Broco / Halestorm / Papa Roach / The Used / Vukovi / Hot Milk SECOND: Gojira / Opeth AVALANCHE: Poppy DOGTOOTH: Periphery MAIN: Metallica / Motley Crue / Killswitch Engage / Dragonforce / Arch Enemy / Jinjer / August Burns Red / Employed To Serve SECOND: While She Sleeps / Billy Talent AVALANCHE: Beabadoobee DOGTOOTH: Cult Of Luna MAIN: Green Day / The Offspring / Weezer / Bowling For Soup / Hollywood Undead / Electric Callboy / PUP / Pinkshift SECOND: Sabaton / Epica AVALANCHE: Alkaline Trio DOGTOOTH: Ibaraki
  5. Honestly I don't think there will be a band to replace TPR. Each day now has seven bands on the main stage and I think they'll just give them longer sets (or a longer waiting time for each band). Next year things will hopefully be back to how it used to be, with a fresh lineup. Because in my opinion this is the weakest lineup they've ever had.
  6. Slightly off topic but why are a lot of people ignorant about Download lineups? Not necessarily here, thinking more Facebook and Reddit. It's like they've been to two at most and not bothered to see who has played in the past. Eg when a fake poster is made: "Pendulum would never play Download, it's not their thing" "Faith No More/Limp Bizkit/Alice Cooper would be headliners, surely?" "Judas Priest below Avenged? I dunno what you're smoking mate" "MCR? Lol, no. Second stage maybe, but not headliners."
  7. Sure. It's one of those wildcard acts like Chase & Status or Die Antwoord.
  8. GHOST / Disturbed / Killswitch Engage / Motionless In White Zippo: Architects / Falling In Reverse (UK exclusive) --- METALLICA / Alter Bridge / Gojira / Alexisonfire Zippo: Frank Carter / Billy Talent --- BMTH / Wolf Alice / Don Broco / While She Sleeps Zippo: Rob Zombie / Arch Enemy
  9. I've made (another) lineup for a hypothetical festival using the DL template to rival Download and R/L. Generally takes bands that are too "goff" for Nu-Reading and bands that get shunned by the Download metulz elitists. Slam Dunk/2000trees on a bigger budget. Main stage is full of modern bands/artists (formed after 1990) that still has loads of young fans. You won't be seeing the likes of Def Leppard or Aerosmith here. The "Legends" Stage is solely rock/metal. Something for older audiences or if they think acts like Yungblud or MGK are shit. More flexible with how "old" they can go. The Insurgent Stage is basically "the rest". Indie, drum and bass, industrial, hip hop etc. Unless they're huge, they'd be on this stage.
  10. It really does. But I bet the organisers book safe bands just not to piss off the "Off to Bloodstock then" crowd.
  11. ... what a seriously boring year. If anyone wants my weekend ticket i'd be more than happy to sell. 😅
  12. Really anyone replacing Kiss is a win... Except maybe Def Leppard.
  13. Limp Bizkit and The Libertines on a tent stage would be dangerously overcrowded
  14. Not a lot of dad rock in this prediction.
  15. Yeah I put the undercards in weird places because Copping would prefer weekend tickets sold over day tickets.
