  1. Doesn't really seem like The Killers are at fault here. Not like they knew the bloke was Russian before he got on stage. After that was revealed, it's a lose-lose situation for them. Though I am glad for once Healy's not involved. Course, if this had happened at a 1975 show this place would be swearing that he'd spotted somebody in the crowd wearing an Ushanka and had invited them up to purposefully stir things. To be fair, he probably would. (Edit: Seen a few more videos. Yeah....Brandon Flowers is at fault here. Not a great look to offer to fight crowd members and insist "we're all brothers" in this situation)
  2. Thanks for the heads up. Would have taken Noel tickets but look sold out now. Shame. Wonder if there will be any last minutes on sale for cheap.
  3. Dare I ask but any early weather forecasts? Coming for the day Sunday at Leeds and dreading another mud bath like tramlines was this year.
  4. Taylor Swift had a "cool image" and was accepted by the "cool music crowd" pre folklore? That's very much news to me and was not my experience of the Fearless/Speak Now/Red/1989 eras!

    Lizzo

An ego can do a lot of swelling in 4 years.
  6. Whatever you think about what Matty did, and clearly lots here thing it was ill judged, at least the 1975 didn't meekly surrender to the countries homophobic regime like Muse has done by removing a song from the setlist to please them. The praise they're getting for this as well is horrifying. https://www.nme.com/en_asia/news/music/muse-remove-song-malaysia-concert-setlist-the-1975-controversy-3474127
  7. Well that's something I'll be stressing about until June 2024 now!
  8. Tempted, but the fact she's ruled out any CHVRCHES tracks has me unsure. Would have loved a few deep cuts done stripped down. A whole show of unreleased solo stuff is less appealing.
  9. Ian Brown, Self Esteem and Rick Astley feels very plausible.
  10. 2024 super early bird sorted. £100 for all three days is a very good price to me. No idea who will headline next year. Thinking Ian Brown might pop up, the last of the canceled headliners from COVID now (catfish not withstanding cause they've broken up). Maybe I'm mad but I'd love McFly back with a longer slot, thought they were proper good fun this year and would fit the Sunday night Tramlines vibe I reckon. Maybe Busted instead?
  11. Somebody nuke this entire thread from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
  12. Call me a massive cynic but I genuinely think the majority of people that moan about no more re entry don't care about supporting local business. I think it's mainly locals who want to nip home between sets to drink their own supermarket bought booze, or people who want to leave to support the great "local" business of Wetherspoons. Im sure there's some people who would use re entry to support proper local business but I'm sceptical that it wouldn't just be used by a lot of folks to drink at home or enjoy a £2 John Smith at the nearby Spoons.
  13. Aye, agreed. It is a shame the park has taken such a beating, but that's just the bad luck of the English weather. Not like the organisers will be happy about it all either. I think it's a cracking festival and something Sheffield badly needs as a city.
  14. Festivals never been popular with the locals, but it's taking a right pelting on social media due to the state of the park.
  15. This situation really does prove what somebody said earlier in this thread, people will find any excuse possible to criticise Matty/The 1975.
  16. See Bloc Party. I'm being dragged to Ashcroft by the missus, and not too pleased about it. Bloc Party were excellent when I saw them support Paramore earlier this year.
  17. Not a run that'll get me up to Hillsborough Park in the rain and paying £6.50 a pint. Doing an Oppenheimer/Barbie double bill instead!
  18. If this means Under the Tide and Gun back on the setlist, sign me up please!
  19. Skipping Sunday personally - nothing for us that day - but seems a logical move.
  20. Would love a 20 song set, but I was thinking it'll be close to 15. Based purely on recent MSW headliners usually playing around that number (from a brief look at a couple just now).

    2024 Headliners

Tour was pretty lukewarm though. Would be curious if AM could sell the same amount of tickets again. Probably could I suppose. I'd buy a ticket for one, so am part of the problem.
  22. Not to rub it in if anybody here is still trying to get tickets this week, but feeling very fortunate to have had the pre sale last week after today. Seeing lots of people claim it's basically just VIP packages left now, and even the low 1,000s in the queue being left with nothing but £600 packages.
  23. I assume it's because of a logistical issue that makes it unfeasible. Maybe not enough access points or there isn't a safe way to divide into sections etc.
  24. They've billed it as playing the first album in full, so I suspect they will play the first album in full, yes.
  25. Have mentioned "album 6" at their last two shows mind you. So seems a decent bet once that's out in presumably 2024, they'll return to the likes of R+L.
