  1. Statement put out by manufacturer reported by the guardian.
  2. Have to assume they are ramping up vaccination programme. If the manufacturers themselves are coming out to say this is the reason we can't export.
  3. Interesting that's it apparently Indian government that have blocked shipments to uk. With their rising case rate, I see it as unlikely they will suddenly start allowing shipments for next few months. That in addition to eu blocking shipments then uk roll out is going to come to a shuddering halt soon enough.
  4. Won't make any difference. Labour will support it so will easily have votes to pass.
  5. I'm wondering what's going on there tho as understand under 50's is what everyone believes but when she quoted that, Hancock absolutely went to pieces.
  6. Did LK just say centres are being advised not to book any appointments in April?

They can't afford another lockdown to be because they ignored the science . We will have a loosening of restrictions but nowhere near a chance of normal gigs or fests thus year.

Govt will have nowhere to hide if have to lockdown again.

  10. Won't make any difference. UK won't hit vaccination targets now with the EU most likely blocking exports until they receive their purchased doses https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/jan/25/eu-threatens-to-block-covid-vaccine-exports-amid-astrazeneca-shortfall
  11. So govt still has no interest on offering insurance so every fest going ahead would be at own financial risk. Expect full festival write off this year then https://www.theguardian.com/music/2021/jan/22/government-stalls-on-insurance-scheme-for-uk-music-festivals
  12. I understand that everyone wants to be hopeful but it's the naivety that makes me laugh. As the WHO say, no one is protected until we are all protected so as long as other countries are not able to fully vaccinate then expect tests and isolation on entry to every country and for it to be strictly enforced hence why even the tories are floating the idea of using hotels for it. That will kill tourism stone dead this year, not to mention the idea of bands touring even if socially distanced gigs return. Also just for the original variant, the new clinical trials started are due to run for 3 years. Things aren't going back to what we think of as normal.
  13. Here's a cheerful article for everyone that thinks vaccines will magically fix this mess https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/jan/21/uk-record-death-tolls-no-clear-covid-strategy
  14. See that some of the groups that feed into SAGE are recommending pubs not to open before May. Really can't see a scenario where pubs open with social distancing then festivals are allowed to go ahead such a short time later
  15. Not good news to end the day on https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/jan/21/covid-cases-may-have-stopped-falling-major-english-survey-shows
