    yeh we booked the princess - right at the entrance to the fest - about 3 or 4 months before i think this year. might’ve been a cancellation i guess previously we’d stayed in the diagonal zero, also just opposite, and their sales only went live about eight months in advance if i recall - a bit like easyjet releasing schedules. if you look on the hotels’ own websites and see the most advanced date you can book today, that gives you a timescale you can work backwards from and strike whenever may 31st booking kicks in. if you’re obsessive, like me that is.

    i’ve done PS sober for two years now - coffee helps. there was a really good place near to the merch stalls open till about 2am.

    someone tried yesterday and failed but that was most likely because that screenshot had been used already. they were gutted.

    no it’s like old primavera. along the side. and maybe a little worse as the other vip bit (not in mordor) no longer looks at the stage. you get fast access to auditori too but there have been no queues whatsoever so that hasn’t really been a bonus a mate has one and said it wasn’t worth it this year really. im not a vip so can’t comment 100% mind

    so far so good! gotta say the food is good too - the oddly named santander ‘work’ cafe is a lovely spot and just down from that is a japanese place that does really good sandwiches for five euros. looking forward to swans and kendrick.

    my annual reminder that you can't take sun lotion with a spray into the arena - even despite some of the pictures on primavera's own mail-outs showing - you guessed it - sun lotions with a spray...

    saw gilla band at wide awake yesterday - one of the best times i've seen them. sound was a little on the quiet side but bodes well for PS. caroline polacheck was good too, although i wouldn't class myself as a fan - her stage set was really impressive.
