Guns & Roses announce somethig today..maybe not for Sziget, but still, if their "waking up" can motivate some others... ^^

Would you prefer The Strokes or Guns & Roses ? 😉 I still hope Green Day will finally pop up, but... 😕 And in the names i've seen on other fests', I'd take Turnstile, Aurora, Wet leg, Rina Sawayama, Shaka Ponk, Aime Simone, and ROBIN SCHULZ of course !

they must be struggling with the line up... it seems that August 2023 isn't THAT full of different opportunities, and Sziget might just looks like the others fests' (rock en seine, reading & leeds, ...) I'm sure they tried some exclusivities, but we should keep our expectations a bit lower than expected..

ok lemme scream it again : ROBIN fuckin' SCHULZ please ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ..... He could be the 'Alan Walker' of this edition ^^ I love almost everything this guy do : "on repeat" (with David Guetta by the way..), "miss you", "young right now", "in your eyes" , etc.... damn ❤️🥰❤️

when you know and like their music, these artists aren't boring. The musicians play very well, no mistakes, unlike some smaller bands. It's a matter of taste ^^ I'd like to see Sziget getting a name unannounced so far, almost an exclusivity. Killers and Strokes are good, BUT ... the line up wouldn't be great. Just good. I know that bands like Ghost and Avenged Sevenfold aren't "Szigetable" anymore lol, but still, I'm expecting a surprise.

? The Killers is official for Pukkelpop, the same day as Florence + The Machine.. which means one of them isn't headline material for Pukkelpop lol. So if Sziget gets The Kilers as a headliner , that would be... well... a disappointment. And for now, The Killers and The Strokes seems to be the strongest Rock options for the 2 missing headline spots.

I admit that I'm expecting 2 Rock acts for the last headline spots. BUT ... I would gladly have Sam Smith instead of .. I don't now.... FLORENCE !!!! Do you guys hate him that much lol ?

quite the opposite actually. miley cyrus, olivia rodrigo etc... the young "artists" sound more and more rocky than they used to, and it is seen in the US. Shows like "Stranger things" gave a little push to metallica and Ghost in front of the youngest ones, Billie Eilish showed herself with a taylor hawkins shirt (the now ex-foo fighters drummer) at the grammys, .. even Emo genre is making a "come back" in the charts thanks to McR return, with bands like Palaye Royale, Paramore's reunion, Motionless in White, and now the new Fall Out Boy album which sounds like the old days, etc...

The Strokes / Placebo / Green Day. 2 of those 3 🙂 Yep, I still believe in Green Day lol ^^ I agree for Aurora, that "genre" is missing for the moment, and Rina Sawayama should have the chance to be there, since Mimi Webb is here.. (and way less talented IMO ..) Also, I need some more Rock acts with energy, I'd take The Hives because it's always great ( AND a new album is coming.. ) , Turnstile and Shaka Ponk ; In electro-EDM, I WANT Robin Schulz !! only 1 date the 11 August in Spain so far... Purple Disco Machine and VINAI would also be nice ^^

Panic! at the Disco just announced today that this is it, after their Europe/UK shows, they're done. So maybe some last festivals before the end .. Foo Fighters will be in the US during July, forget about it. Only August might be possible for Europe.

The Strokes very likely indeed ! I would also have Placebo and Turnstile, 'love that band ^^

Foo Fighters and Green Day, both performing this Summer... a trip to Europe in August is still possible... ^^

Happy new year to everyone ! I hope the second wave in February will satisfy most of us 🙂 Speaking of, as much as I also would be happy with Blur, I have doubts.. Do Sziget would take a headliner that majority of the young people don't know...? If they were active these last years, that would be possible, but they werent.. so ask a 18-20 years old of they know them... 😕 I read that Radiohead are back for 2023, and I think the same : that would be great !, but I'm not sure that is the direction Sziget is taking, sadly... The Strokes, Panic! at the disco, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, these are my "first thoughts"... After that, Nickelback, Gun's & Roses, RHCP, MCR and Pearl Jam. I also don't forget that in 2024, this will be the 30th Anniversary of Sziget, they might keep big names for that.. ! I'm telling you lol, Martin Garrix and Macklemore will be there 😂
