leaks said "a band" when we were talking about the missing headliner... I'm thinking Maroon 5, or a similar band which haven't announced a Euro trip so far.

I'm still undecided on attending, I don't usually see a lot of the headliners. It's not the worst set of headliners I've seen. I would personally watch 4 out of the 6. My only real gripe is the deterioration of the A38 arena last few years, that's the make or break for me. At 50 I don't expect the main stage to be bustling with my type of music.
I agree, don't care about the headliners either, but the undercard wayyyy more ^^ A38 use to be huge...
Now I'm lookin' at the Europe stage, which sometimes made me discover some great artists ^^

heuuu, no. It is not bad everywhere.You might blindly support the BullShit line up Sziget is giving us this year, but it is not everyones' case. Without criticism, festivals would keep on going with cheap/poor acts.
So please allow me, since I pay for this festival amongst others, to express what I feel about this particular year.
And then, I can show you a couple fests' in 2024 with a nice programs I consider better than Sziget (these are only a few examples).

I'm very disappointed. Because most of this line up is for the under 22 years old, let's be honest : soooooo many edm-electro-techno names... ! And most of them are quite unknown . It's disrespectful to Sziget fans who have been attending it for years. Like "you're more than 26 ? go f.ck yourself."
When Bands/Artists like Placebo, Biffy Clyro, Keane, Snow Patrol, Idles, TDCC, NBT, Wet Leg, Justice, Korn, Deftones, The Offspring, Maneskin, The Kills, Architects (maybe too much metal lol..), Bring Me The Horizon, etc... etc.... ETC..... can be available in August, and Sziget only take "SOLO - NOT TOO EXPENSIVE" artists .............. yes, I take it as a lack of respect. It makes me angry. And sad.
I personally like 9 acts of this 2024 line up. Only 9 ...
I'm sorry @Sziget2024_Leaks that must be annoying to read this kind of comments 😕 thanks again for your presence here, but please, can you tell me, tell us, what's the direction taking by the new owners ..? "only young people", " cut the line up budget", "no more bands", etc...? The difference in line up this year is completely frightening.

(I actually remember a radio interview, end of December, of someone well informed saying Katy Perry might go on tour end of 2024, outside the U.S ... what if ...? f..k me I would be crazy lol)
They said the same for "Shakira 2024" and still, no news.

Well, as I said, except Sia and Ellie, I don't see any other name being "pretty big" and also not TOO BIG (because honestly, having Katy Perry, Shakira or Lady Gaga would be HUGE, don't you think ..? )

Ellie Goulding fits perfectly to Sziget's image. She's really into eco stuff. So yep, that's my N°1 bet for the spot ^^
She's not Adele or Lady Gaga, but still, a good performer with great hits.. I'd be happy if it's her 🙂

I don"t even know what to say lol, I know we won't get my main "rock hopes", like Biffy Clyro or The Killers... so I hope for smaller acts, like Motionless in White or Dead Poet Society... maybe smaller metal acts like Novelists or Annisokay.. haha see, I hope for good unknown bands 😅 (+ Marc Rebillet. Please give us Marc Rebillet ❤️ )

2022 line up was, to me, very nice ^^ same for the " R.I.P 2020 line up" .
2023 was "meh..", and I agree to wait a bit for judging the 2024 ..
