That was me - I don't know about festivals, they're different. But I think if he's gonna do a festival he'd do Glastonbury instead of IoW

Springsteen has played both IOW and Glastonbury in the past so can't rule it out. I would say Springsteen doesn't fit with IOW recent history of headliners though over last few years so do agree Glasto more likely.

Be very happy if indeed is Green Day, but I did also notice that Take That have a Sunday gap and after last year with Robbie think they could be possible too! 🙄

Unfortunately, Lionel Richie will no longer be playing at cinch presents the Isle of Wight Festival 2022. Watch this space for more info soon. We can't wait to see you all this summer!

    Please see below:

Lionel Richie has confirmed that he will be cancelling his 2022 ‘Hello’ summer tour dates.

“As Covid and its variants continue to impact the world, I have decided to hold off on my European tour this summer. The most important thing to me is the health of my fans, band and crew. I hope you all understand and I hope to see you very soon when we can all gather safely.”

Almost sure that they will add a second Warsaw date 6 or 7 July, so no time for Mad Cool

Don't disagree - also think it is unlikely they'd go from Warsaw to Madrid and back given the carbon neutral pledge they've made.

Definite gap around Madcool dates still, but think it will be somebody else in the end.

Not awful in my opinion, feels the names are a lot stronger than 2021’s edition. Wonder where else this leaves Muse at, BST or Stadiums maybe

Agreed - stronger line-up than this year.

Muse are out and about in Europe - headlining Madcool in Madrid for example. Wouldn't be a surprise to see them at BST or their own dates I thinl.

There was a real problem with the sound on the main stage during the Friday morning. They sorted it pretty quickly and after that there were no problems all weekend from what I saw - all the stages sounded great.

Has to go down as a very successful year I would say. It was extremely busy so I assume ticket sales were good. There was a great atmosphere on-site and everything seemed to be running smoothly. I really hope the festival can move on from here now and we can start to see some decent line-ups again. The line-ups have been poor for years but everything else about the festival is now fantastic.

Great weekend and mostly spot on but they need to sort the Big Top for next year as the access wasn't working at all.

People were congregating on the left, blocking entrances and there was loads of space on the far side of the tent. Security needed to be moving people over to the far side to allow more in.

Was potentially dangerous at points too esp Scouting for Girls on Thursday. Similar for Kaisers and Example.
