  1. Very good points. Still find them a slightly off booking, but perhaps not that strange after all. Would definitely pull a decent, more mature rock audience. And the dates really fit - contrary to Northside, Heartland and Copenhell.
  2. The point of booking Foo Fighters is to appease the roaring hordes who want more rock music 😉 Besides, Foo Fighters did a critically acclaimed album in 2023, have a wonderful story of overcoming tragedy and Dave Grohl has that charisma and good-guy-vibe. I think they fit well as the big rock booking. Smashing Pumpkins and Billy Corgan have been a laughing stock in the cool music media for ages. They are not critically acclaimed anymore - just check sites like Pitchfork or Rate Your Music. They don't fit the 2020s narrative of activism. That might be completely unfair, but that's just how it is. Of course, if they end up being booked, I'll gladly take it back. Hey, I wouldn't even mind them. I was a huge fan in my younger days, but have barely listened to them in this millenium. I think you're right about the remaining headliners being more in the vein of Doja Cat and Billie Eilish.
  3. I don't really see Smashing Pumpkins as a Roskilde booking in 2024. Especially with the old-geezers-with-guitar-space already taken by Foo Fighters. They just seem way too past their prime, too much of a nostalgia act. But what do I know? Do the 20-somethings of today listen to Smashing Pumpkins? They seem a better fit for Heartland, although they played there before.
  4. Disclaimer: I'm a mid-40's unhip old school indie rocker 😄 That's the single best lineup announcement I've seen so far this year. Besides Gilsons, who I'm not familiar with, I'll gladly take all those names. Superchunk and Nouvelle Vague haven't been announced elsewhere, as far as I know? At least something different. And I've never seen Superchunk. They've played in my country once, as far as I can see.
  5. The Smile added to the lineup. Looking more and more solid.
  6. First headliner confirmed!
  7. Some good stuff there. I'll take JUNGLE, LCD, Kiwanuka, Jessie Ware, Noname, Ty Segall, Mdou Moctar. Hell, even dEUS for old times sake, but I doubt they're relevant to a Danish audience in 2024.
  8. Mogwai and Alvvays (amongst others) are playing in Belgium the weekend before Roskilde. Yes please!
  9. Bikini Kill starting a European tour in Bordeaux June 2nd. Surely they're back on the lineup after the cancellation in 2022? https://bikinikill.com/tour/
  10. Oh, Camera Obscura would be great. Nice to have them back on the live circuit.
  11. Nas celebrating 30 years of 'Illmatic'? Aphex Twin doing 'SAW II'? Or whatever he feels like? Sunny Day Real Estate playing 'Diary' in full? They've been touring this year. Bark Psychosis jumping out of hiatus and doing 'Hex' in the auditori?
  12. Talking 1994 albums, I'll gladly take a 'Sebadoh plays Bakesale'. And a 'Cranes plays Loved'. They've been touring UK with the 93 album 'Forever' this Fall, so why not?
  13. I'm tempted. Heard good things about the festival, and it's usually a really solid lineup. Great bookings so far.
  14. Not a terrible lineup by any means, and there's plenty I'd like to see. But perhaps lacking something really, really essential. Unwound might be the closest thing to that, seeing they're probably not gonna hit my part of the world. Ever. Delgados too. Besides that, I've already seen a lot of the other stuff I'm interested in, so I'm gonna pass on this one. My girlfriend and my gang aren't particularly overjoyed with the lineup either, which makes it easier to miss out. But goddamn, it's Barcelona in the early Summer. I'll definitely miss that.
  15. It's gonna be a long wait until tomorrow, so bring on the fake posters! Actually, the one that circulated here a couple of days ago, made me realize that Delgados, Sunny Day Real Estate and Unwound all have gigs in 2023. Make it happen, Primavera!
  16. Perhaps news of album and tour? Lovely gig at 2016 Primavera.
  17. An hour of waiting in the massive queue, unfortunately missing out on The Linda-Lindas. We got in right before Wet Leg, who were brilliant and charming. Stayed for a couple of Teto Preto songs, got blinded by that annoying light from the stage and left for a wonderful meal. Lovely evening. Great to be among an outside audience again, can't wait to be back in the Forum.
  18. I'm sitting in the TGV from Paris to Barcelona, spotting other potential festival goers. There's the dude in leather jacket and Dead Moon t-shirt, the guy with the Yard Act shirt and another with a Rock en Seine shirt. I can feel it kicking in, the Primavera fever 😄
  19. This. I was quite baffled when they were presented as headliners in multiple festivals, I had no idea the were still a big thing in the 2020s. But a couple of days ago even my 16-year old niece swooned, when I told her they were playing, so it's just a case of me being completely out of the loop. They don't mean much to me, but I'm really sad for all the fans if they're pulling out.
  20. Nick Cave clashing with Bauhaus. That's silly.
  21. Anyway, while waiting, I just revisited (or is that re-re-re-revisited?) my latest visit at Parc del Fòrum four years ago. Yeah, that was a nice evening.
  22. Map today, timetable tomorrow. Perhaps?
  23. Lee Fields! That blue suit was outstanding - and a great concert by the way 😄
